Pretty average if you ask me.
The chilli folded eggs were essentially scrambled eggs on toast with whipped feta and oil on top; but youâre charged nearly twice as much. So for starters, poor value for money.
Secondly the âAsian herbed saladâ was merely a bunch of coriander thrown on top (I dislike coriander so I donât get value from this). It was suppose to also be served with pickled chilli, which never arrived on the dish. I also asked for this.
And it does really grind my gears when youâre served sourdough with a hard crust thatâs as tough as nails, and given a butter knife (I had to ask for one). How is this so overlooked? Maybe Iâm being petty, but you wouldnât serve a butter knife with a steak, and itâs not as hard as sourdough.
All up, I wouldnât recommend this cafe unless youâre content with mediocre food (at best).
Coffee was OK...
Read moreThis cafe is amazing! Firstly, the powdered Chai is absolutely delicious - highly recommend! There is a place to sit outside and bring your dog- but there are more cosy places to sit inside. The staff here are great! Very welcoming and professional. They create a very warm experience. Now- the important part- the food. All their dishes looked terrific on the menu, we really struggled with what to order. We got the cauliflower and kale salad which was super fresh and tasty. The beef burger and chips has a little/nice spicy kick and is a very filling meal. Chips are thick and crispy! (Need I say more?). The real highlight was the panna cotta. Probably one of the best Iâve had! The homemade granola and fresh fruit not only made this dish look great, but the taste was the perfect balance of creamy and sweet. We will definitely be...
Read moreWhen the staff are on their game, this place is great. Went the other day for lunch, quiet as anything; we sat down, had to go in ato order fter being given the menus & waiting for 10 mins. Was told by the waitress âI was coming outâ!
Considering one small salad shared by two took 20 mins to come out, this slow service is not cutting it. We ended up spending 40 minutes there.
The food however was great. Coffees not as good. Mooks is hit & miss. Used to be a red haired woman with an iPad & she ran that place ship shape. She was great.
I need to go again & see how service is on a weekday when itâs always busy.
I understand many cafes are doing it hard getting staff but with 3 staff on & it was very quiet, it was that slow mo time when lunch service is over & itâs hard to get served. We sat outside & that usually slows...
