We are still raving about the incredible Italian buttercream sponge cake made by the fantastic Madie for our wedding day! From the moment we took our first bite, we knew we had chosen something truly special.

The cake was beautifully crafted, with a light and fluffy sponge that paired perfectly with the rich, creamy Italian buttercream. The raspberry coulis added the perfect touch of tartness, while the lemon curd filling brought a refreshing brightness that balanced everything beautifully. Each layer was a delightful experience!

Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the cake, and many even went back for seconds! Madie’s talent and passion for baking truly shine through in her creations. We are so grateful to have had such a stunning centerpiece for our dessert table.

Hi there I’m not a believer in “the cake making the party” nor do I have a sweet tooth however we have just had my sons seven birthday party and I have changed my mind thanks to mad about cakes on both fronts. We requested a Pokémon cake which at first I thought was a little expensive once I had the quote but regardless we went ahead anyway. When we picked up the cake I was totally blown away. It was a complete master piece. My son went nuts and was so excited to show his friends and I was amazed at the amount of work and detail that went into the cake. It looked stunning. Then we ate it and OMG. As I said, I’m a savoury person but this flavour was outstanding. It had an amazing blend of choc, vanilla and fruity icing. Absolutely delicious. All up, the cake made our party and provided such an impact. I’m not one to write reviews but this really was worth sharing. I cannot recommend mad about cakes enough....

Mad About Cakes makes every dessert dream you could ever imagine come true! From our first contact to our finished creation, working with Madie was a breeze. She was so easy to communicate with and happy to answer any questions we had along the way. Madie understood our needs and is so creative, talented with such flair for the theatrical that she created the centrepiece to our party that had our guests drawing their breath, oohing and aahing with excitement. It really set the tone and expectations for the night. Not to mention the fact that they were devoured as they were so darned delicious! I look forward to getting Mad About Cakes to cater desserts for all our events in the future, and maybe even a few extra cheeky treats along the everyday way. One can always use more Mad About Cakes guilty pleasures...
