Mr Burger — Restaurant in Melbourne

We were at Boofest in thornbury for the Halloween festival. My boyfriend and I ordered a single burger and some loaded fries to share. They not only had to start telling people behind us it would be a 45 minute wait but also a couple behind us who had ordered half an hour before us was waiting for a long time, go their food and the lady’s burger was not gluten free. She kindly went up to ask for a bun, or even no bun to make it faster and they couldn’t help her. We had time to ordered drinks, food, and food again before any update on a our food. It has currently been an hour.

I must say it is a shame to need to come onto a restaurants review page and to see a consistent history of these types of reviews.

On a quiet Thursday night I waited OVER an hour and 10 minutes for 1 burger and fries. When I enquired, I was told the wait was because I “ordered chicken” which was a BLATANT lie. I had friends who ordered more than half an hour after me receive their order (of the same chicken burger) well before me. The staff there admitted to feeling upset with how the night had gone and the pitiful excuse their manager had provided me on why my food took so long. With a lot of burger options available nowadays it's hard for a place to stand out. Mr Burger is one of the OGs and they still make an alright burger.

I had the Mr Burger with added fried chicken patty and it was ok. The fried chicken didn't have much crumbing and was leaning more towards the dry side. The Mr Burger itself is a good standard burger.

With so many other options around Mr Burger only delivers an ok burger, it's still better...
