Food wise, top quality. The kitchen really knows how to get it right.
I made a previous review where the main drawback was the customer service and how they needed to bare in mind that working in hospitality, their attitude can be felt by the customers and effects our experience. The owner did comment after I posted my review looking to discuss the matter but I decided not to because I wanted to give the place a second chance without any forewarning about my next visit.
I am glad to say my experience was much better than before. The waitress was helpful and made sure that everything was great, all with a smile. It all made for an amazing experience!
My only criticism is the food, which isn't too big a deal. The first time I came, I ordered a rib eye 400 G ($68.90) that was an amazing cut of meat, real big. This time around I ordered the same thing but the steak was not as big, which was a bit of a let down considering the price. Preparation though was perfect, just wish it was a bit bigger.
Asides from that, the experience was top and hope to...
Read moreI had missed dinner & was craving a chicken parma on my way to a gig at The Croxton. It was about 9.20pm. Old School Pizza looked like a nice space to sit, and the menu near the door listed what I was looking for. The staff member at the counter was friendly and when I asked if the kitchen was still open, she said it was for a few more minutes and that I was welcome to have a meal in the venue until they closed at 10pm. A table was efficiently organised for me and water provided. I liked seeing how the staff seemed to be working really cooperatively as a team. My meal came out quickly and it was a HUGE serving. The chicken parmigiana was hot and delicious. The salad was also very fresh with a yummy dressing. As for the chips? I am very fussy about chips. Omg, I was sad because the chips were PERFECT- now in my top 3 in Melbourne- but there were such a lot of them and I didn't have time to eat them all along with the parma. (Because I had to get to the gig.) I will finish them off next time...
Read morePizza was nothing to write home about, scarce on topping for a meatlovers and the cheese was tasteless.
Better pizza places within a 5 minute walk that are cheaper
Wish this place the best but for the price and quality I doubt they'll be able to pay rent for more than a year or two
Edit in response How would you have any records of me being at your store? Since I'm 60% sure I paid in cash
Whilst I'd understand the price if it tasted like a deluxe pizza-The "quality" ingredients were poor enough for me to write my first ever review considering I've eaten at some foul places and never bothered taking the time out of my day to call them out, however as it stands the best tasting part of my meal was the generic barbecue sauce and the wood you used to cook the pizza :^(
Not trying to throw a huge amount of shade, but for a franchise I was expecting quality, if...
