The food here is delicious however very overshadowed by staff who seem disinterested when it gets slightly busier than what they'd hoped for. Clearly management needs to be more present with the front of house team and teach them that the customer isn't the enemy, or at least help them when they need it. It seems the front of house team are pushed by management and although they're trying to care, they're overwhelmed due to lack of training in keeping up with a busy service and medium sized dining parties. Oh and the music is far too loud for a restaurant..and I run a nightclub 😂 I hope for the staffs sake the manager/owner would stand up and help them and not just sit at the bar looking down at everyone. I don't blame the floor staff, management needs to take a look at their business and help their crew Not a bad beer though

I'm amending this review in the car now that I'm out of the restaurant and I'm absolutely disgusted. On receipt of this review, the owner/manager decided to find the reviewer based on the beer picture and berate not just myself but the entire table about my review. Would not allow there to be a back and forth, but was clearly offended at my comment of how she sat there watching her team struggle, telling us about her bad knees while she stood over my father in law on crutches after knee surgery. I will again reiterate that the staff on the floor were trying. With the correct leadership they could be a great restaurant, a hidden gem even. But the willingness to insult a table of 15 for speaking my mind is a joke and you lady should not be in charge of a hospitality business, or anything customer experience based. I tried to be constructive and even requested that she leave us and allow us to finish our meal and leave but needed to say her piece before walking back to her chair at the bar and continue sniping looks. Lady, I hope you read this again, and again, and again and understand one day that you will be the downfall of your restaurant through arrogance and self centredness. Had you come down to my level and sought to understand the words I wrote, actually made it look like you care, then this review would be gone and your precious online image wouldn't have this blemish. You say it's hard to find staff. If you cared enough to help them you wouldn't have the turnover, and you can ask any of the staff on my books about me, but you won't get the chance. You wanted where I work... While I'm not going to tell you where I work, because I want my staff to never experience someone so unprofessional in the industry I have dedicated almost 20 years to. I will never forgive the way you acted towards my wife who was trying to settle a crying infant (outside so as not to impede your customers, because we know how to act with respect in public) as you slammed your door and walked back to...

Disappointed to be writing this review. It all started great dealing with Sylvia, she was lovely to deal with my booking on 27th May.

Our booking was to celebrate our engagement with close family at 5:30pm for a 2 hour booking.

The night was so busy and so over crowded you could barely move out of your seat. The restaurant was unfortunately under staffed for the amount of functions/people.

We arrived 5:40pm and were served around 6:20pm for food and drinks which is fine. Around 7pm (knowing our booking will end at 7:30pm) I kindly notified one of the staff members if we could prepare our cake to be cut on the table and to take a family photo all together. The staff member kindly notified me that they were busy at the time setting up the other tables for the 2nd round of bookings and will attend shortly. I said not a problem and we would wait.

7:30pm arrived and a young blonde waitress arrived to our table and notified me that our booking has ended and we would need to leave... I mentioned that we have been waiting to be served our cake?.. she walked away and come back a few moments later (with attitude) advising if we wanted to be served the cake it would be $5 per person corckage fee! I advised that was not the price Sylvia discussed with me when booking and she replied rudely saying "well that's what it's going to be if you want it" and stormed off while I was trying to reply to her. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting.

To top it off when she walked away about the cake situation one of my family members went to the bathroom and heard this waitress bit**ing about our table.

We all got up to leave at this point.. I feel she was charging this price for us to leave considering the other booking was all waiting at the front door to be seated.

When walking out speaking to the other (more mature) waitress with brown hair, I expressed we have been waiting all this time and now to be kicked out and the rudeness of the other waitress. She apologised many times because at this point I was in tears. She did offer for us to cut the cake at the front of the restaurant near the kitchen where people wait to be seated. But we decided at this point to leave.

It was such a disappointing experience and for such a special occasion we had booked.

I definitely would not recommend this place for any function.

And now after reading all the other bad reviews, it seems others had a similar experience. Wishing I had booked our engagement...

I was looking forward to trying Mykonos because I'd heard it was really good and I love Greek food. When walking in, I thought we were in for a real treat because the restaurant decor is very authentic and looks just like I've seen places in Mykonos look. There's even a beautiful outdoor setting whereby you'd never know you were in Melbourne and not in Greece itself. There was initially a few issues with which table we were at. We shifted three times. Annoying. But the staff were friendly and took our orders correctly and the food came out in good timing. The pita bread that came out with the entree, however, was hard and almost stale. I didn't think to complain about it because I guess each place has their own recipe. When more pita bread came out with the main meal, it was softer and fresh. It made me think the entree pita was actually from the day before and they were getting rid of it. It was horrible. However, the tarama was delicious! I just slathered more of it onto the bread to compensate for the dry and stale taste. A big pet peeve of mine is when main meals come out while you're still going with entree. Such was the case here. You don't know where to put the current food and you feel rushed. I hate it and it was a big let down. The main portions are huge, so keep that in mind when ordering. The food was ok (their chips were INCREDIBLE). It wasn't bad, but just wasn't as tasty as other Greek restaurants. Overall, I would recommend it here if you're in the area and other places are full. If you want to have a good conversation with your friends/family etc, this may not be the place for you as they have live music as well and it made conversation quite difficult. In all honesty, I'm glad I've tried it here, but it's not my favourite and I feel it's never a good thing when the decor trumps the actual meal itself. Parking isn't too difficult, and pricing is reasonable for what you get, but for me, there are other restaurants I'd go back to sooner than...

I was excited to go here as it's taken a long time to be able to get in. My husband has been before, he was excited for the grilled octopus entree which he said was exceptional. I was only wanting lamb on the spit, and when I asked if the meat on the spit that night was lamb, I was informed they never do lamb on the spit!!! What Greek Restaurant doesn't have lamb on the spit?! That's insane! Anyway, my husband ordered his expensive grilled octopus entree and he was very disappointed. Nothing like his previous experience of freshly grilled whole tentacles and some smaller pieces (as pictured on their website). It was served all chopped into really small pieces, (very unappetising) I tried a piece and it had quite obviously been reheated. This was not the freshly grilled octopus he was looking forward to, and paid alot of money for. He was hungry so ate it, I would have sent it back! Our mains were brought out and hubby was only half way through his entree! They were ok, he had lamb shanks and veggies, and the closest I could get to lamb on the spit was slow cooked lamb and wedges. My lamb had no sauce, and the wedges weren't wedges but thick cut chips. My lamb was tender, but dry so I ended up bringing most of it home cause I just couldn't get it down, due to a lack of moisture. If there was a sauce with it, different story. With 2 glasses of wine, a soft drink and some bread, the evening cost us $127, and I left hungry. As they don't do lamb on the spit, and they disappointed with hubby's octopus - we won't be back!
