Northcote Cafe Espresso — Restaurant in Melbourne

The rudest waiter imaginable. I ordered black coffee with hot milk. Milk was cold. I asked for hot milk and the waiter got aggressive and said I should've asked for hot milk. I told him I had ordered hot milk and then he got all angry and 'attitude'. Brought me hot milk and still carrying on saying I should've asked for hot milk lots of times as the fellow who took the order can't hear properly. Errr...I asked a few times and the fellow repeated after me 'hot milk'. Instead of apologising, the rude waiter still carrying on walked off in a huff. I certainly won't be coming here again. Never experienced such rudeness!! Don't go to this place. They don't deserve...

This cafe has been a mainstay at the plaza for years and keeps delivering...good coffee and snacks, breakfast and lunch. Well priced and plenty of seating available. A good honest approach in providing, old fashioned service and making sure the customer is happy. The fit-out is not the most modern, or high end fashion set. But who cares you can have a great meal at a down to earth place and I believe you won't...

Old school cafe. Prices are a bargain and the food and coffee are great. The service is speedy and the staff are nice. The decor is dated, but I personally kind of like that and the majority of pretentious cafes in Northcote are fitted out to look "retro" anyway, except they charge double the price. I hope this place is there for years to come, you don't see many like this...
