Came here for the first time tonight and I have to say, WOW! This place is a gem of a restaurant and right next to Spaghetti Junction! After seeing the reviews online about the dumplings I decided to get the chicken and prawn dumplings (12 pieces) and the Sichuan Chicken. Both dishes were great!
The dumplings were piping hot (I got them takeaway) and stayed hot until I finished eating. They were nice and juicy and the soy sauce and chilli oil helped to elevate the taste (gotta have this kind of dumpling with soy sauce and chilli oil!)
The Sichuan Chicken dish was also really nice. The diced chicken thigh was juicy, the veggies were crisp and there was enough sauce to either coat the steamed rice if you wanted to mix it all. It wasn’t super spicy and there wasn’t as much numbing as I thought there’d be (since it’s a “Sichuan” dish) but still decently chilli overall. The rice was also cooked perfectly and not too mushy.
All up it cost $26 ($13 for each dish I think) which is seriously AWESOME VALUE for money! I was completely stuffed afterwards, the Sichuan Chicken would’ve been fine on its own! The gentleman who gave me my food was also super friendly and gave me enough serviettes and cutlery as well.
If you’re in the area and feel like really good Chinese food visit these guys and support local! Looking forward to...
Read moreBit disappointing in this place for the fact I’ve been ordering for years! Ordered Uber via uber eats waited for 40 mins for my food to arrive and the uber driver delivered the wrong one and not what my money was worth. I called up the restaurant and explained the situation and said is there any chance of them remarking and I can return what I have received. The answer was a flat out no and the lady was like oh you have only lost $3.00 but what about the travel for uber and the priority delivery which wasn’t even a priority cause I wanted 40mins opposed to 20mins…. I know it’s not initially there fault but as a business you could at least look after...
Read moreWent here today for lunch after reafing good reviews online. I ordered 3 dishes with the idea of taking home half of each. I had the hot & sour soup, the pan fried pork dumplings and the sezchuan spicy pork with noodles. The soup had good flavours but not sour or spicy enough but black vinegar and chilli oil on the table together with some extra white pepper helped. The pan fried dumplings were very good with a tasty succulent filling and the sechuan pork stir fry was suitably numbing with sechuan pepper corns. I would definitely recommend this place...
