Ollies Chicken Hillside — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ollie's Chicken would have to be one of, if not the best chicken places around. Just like KFC but bigger and better meals. Their fillet burgers, the same size as a Whooper, with a decent size fried chicken fillet, add the cheese for a little extra to make it taste even better. Their large chips and exactly what a large should be. It's not just fried chicken but also BBQ chickens as well. Their Chicken roll combo is delicious, BBQ chicken in a bun with their special sauce makes it a definite winner. They even have family meals from the BBQ and Fried range. The atmosphere can be at times a bit on the cold side but their service is warm and inviting. Having been to both Hillside and Melton stores, Hillside is a lot newer but at times feels a little old, having said that I love the pieces of nostalgia hanging on the walls to show their heritage from Ollie's Trolleys. Melton does tend to look a little run down but is always spotless. Definitely worth checking out, these guys are taking on KFC and Red Rooster...

The chips we're great but a bit too salty. The chicken roll was absolutely amazing, definitely recommend it... I asked if the potato salad had egg... the server could not answer.. for.anyone interested, it doesn't. The BIGGEST issue I had was that I purchased 3 pieces of chicken and specifically requested NO WING. A note was made on order, but when I got home..sure enough there was a wing in my box of chicken. Along with another ticket which clearly states no wing in order. If I wanted wings I would have asked for wings, but the fact I specifically asked for no wing and it was noted on the order, n yet I still received a wing is the reason for 3 stars. Would have been higher if the staff paid more attention to customer orders. But the quality of food...

I've had horrible experience at this place and also trying to stay positive. But the girl that work there is just one sad miserable person !! Always angry horrible customer service!! Don't know if she's the owner or what but she shouldn't be working there !!! Read the bad reviews and most of the are about HER !! LAST TIME I EAT THERE ! Not to mention I asked them to cut it , which then didn't so I told them to please cut it in 4 they took it out of these bags they put it in now which look like coles chicken , i get home and its not cut !!
