Oscar's Hangout — Restaurant in Melbourne

We absolutely LOVE Oscar's Hangout! Their food is scrumptious, beauitfully portioned and presented. The variety of dishes on their menu is fantastic plus they have a great kids menu (which doubles as an awesome activity & colouring sheet) with "real" food that my kids love - for example their chicken nuggets are freshly and lightly crumbed chicken breast cooked so beautifully that my partner and I always end up eating one (or two).

The absolute cherry on top is the wonderful, friendly and professional staff who are seriously delightful. They are polite, friendly, their service is wonderful and they ALWAYS have a lovely smile. We always feel welcome.

The cafe is large, spacious and is extremely family friendly. They have tables, couches and an outdoor area where you can sit under their beautiful gumtrees and your kids can run around on the grass. We come here quite a lot. It's our first choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee or cake. I highly recommend it...

What a lovely little hidden place to get in a late Sunday breaky at. Came upon Oscar's after being turned down at two nearby locations that were packed with a breakfast crowd. Admittedly, we were being cheeky to think we could get a look in. Fluffiest pancakes ever with a generous amount of maple bacon and all the trimmings. Eggs Benedict with pork was perfectly cooked. And the Apple cider hollandaise was on point for tartness and deliciousness. Hash Brown stack! Amazing crunch and and paired with avo and haloumi was just magic. Staff were lovely and warm and the food came out nice and fast and looked and tasted superb. Even when we had a bit of a milk jug spill at our table they were quick to come and clean up our mess and dismissed any apologies from us. So nice! Will definitely be back. Thanks...

On Friday I had the pleasure of having lunch here for my mother in laws birthday and I had such an amazing time. Our server Jude was such a young gentleman and had all the relevant information on what was in the meals, what ones where his favourites and how the chef cooked the food. He had extreme patience with us ladies and always had a smile. The chef needs their own Michelin hat award as the food was AMAZING!!! So bright, amazingly cooked and so so filling. Hats off to this amazing chef!!! The atmosphere was so beautiful as well!! They had some bird food in the trees so you could enjoy your food while seeing the most beautiful parakeets.

If I could make ONE change to make my time better it would be to change the coke deal...
