Panjabi Rasoi & Sweets — Restaurant in Melbourne

I went to this place this morning. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find. The dining area is clean and nice they also have few tables outside. I had the pani puri.. the flavours were absolutely spot on. The tangy, sweet & spicy water was so tasty. This is a must try! I had paneer makhani and rice which again was amazing. I could not fault the dish. The flavour, presentation and quantity.. it was perfect overall. I could not finish this so the lovely staff member gave me a take away container so I could take it home. The food and service was excellent if you haven't been here then you are missing out. There are so many indian restaurants but this one is outstanding and unique. I was extremely tired and thought of grab some take away from this restaurant today. Went there choose tandoori chicken and chicken korma, dahi puri. The dahi was okay though is not what I expected. However the tandoori chicken taste really weird and off smell. The chicken korma, the meat in the gravy very much like over cooked or feel like ready made food. I have never eaten such a bad food any where else....the tandoori chicken is definitely off/spoil. Very disappointing.

I had a food poisoning after I had this chicken, collapsed at my office on the following day and admitted in the hospital and my son who consumed the same food had tummy pain, diarrhea and vomiting.

We will never ever going back this...

New restaurant with a basic set-up to get an average meal. Meat dishes were below par, more effort on quality and preparation is needed to ensure its a worthwhile visit given good money being spent.

Starters and Breads (Naan and Rotis) were ok, chef needs to address the meal preparations, the food is average/ok but does not align with the rest of 5 star ratings that have been provided which got us to visit the place resulting in a surprise, you do sometimes wonder how good ratings are generated online.
