The food was very delicious, with the highlight being the Mee Goreng, which had the perfect texture, sauce, and flavor. We requested extra onions, which the staff acknowledged, but they brought the dish with extra chicken instead and charged an additional $2. We didn’t mention it and let it go.
There are a few prawn dishes on the menu, and we specifically asked which ones were not battered. We ordered the garlic prawns since they were supposed to be unbattered, but the staff mistakenly brought us battered chili prawns and asked if we could keep them. We declined, and they eventually brought our original garlic prawns. Unfortunately, the dish was quite disappointing, especially given the $28 price. It was simply prawns stir-fried with onions, served on a bed of lettuce and zucchini. While it tasted fine, the preparation felt underwhelming for the price.
The Nasi Lemak with chicken was nice and the roti on the side was enjoyable. We also requested the chicken to be served in a bowl, which they kindly accommodated. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot for a meal with good flavors, and the staff were polite, despite some mix-ups with the orders.
As for dessert, the sago pudding was a disappointment—definitely not something...
Read moreThis review is a long overdue but, the best ones come little late sometimes isn't it? Me and my friend were in the neighborhood and his cousin took us to this place for having this delicious lunch. I was pretty new to Melbourne and this place was very far away from the CBD. There were not so many people at the store but, he strongly recommended to have food from here. Turns out, he wasn't wrong!
We tried Chicken Skewers for Entree, Beef and Vegetables with Cashew nuts, Poached Chicken Dumpling with Szechuan Chilli oil, Combination Crispy Noodles. The Beef and Vegetables with Cashew and Chicken Dumpling is definitely going to be must try items in here. The skewers were garnished using pineapple pieces, a very good combination. It was very delicious and cooked to perfection. The Noodles had some prawns and was very delicious. We also had some plain rice.
The best thing about this place is, the food is very delicious, has a good parking space, the pricing is very good, in fact very cheap compared to similar restaurants in Melbourne. The place was well maintained and the old lady was...
Read moreIt's the little things! My first time here today and definitely won't be my last. The staff were really lovely and address you by name, not an order number. I ordered the following: Roti with peanut sauce - Delicious!! Fresh roti and the sauce was devine! Hot and sour soup - Just the thing for getting over an illness. Flavoursome, spicy - very tasty. Char Kway teow - OMG, this is just delicious!! One of the best I've tasted. Black pepper beef and rice pack - Great for a lunch pack. Comes with salad (i had left over peanut sauce so poured it over LOL). The beef was tender, and a decent amount. My personal preference would be for it to be a little more peppery, but nevertheless i really enjoyed it!! Everything is wrapped really well to survive the car ride home if you're getting takeaway. Keep up the wonderful work Asiana kitchen. Your friendly staff and beautiful food are a credit to you! I can't wait to try more...
