Good food with authentic taste. Male&female both staff wr welcoming. Bit on higher side of price range compare to normal, quantity was good. We tried Entree-Veg manchurian dry&Murg malai tikka. Manchurian ball was crispy tossed in finely chpped ginger garlic spring onion masala. Chicken was nice&tender. Main- Paneer Handi&Purani delhi ka butter chicken. Both curry had nice texture of ingrediants unlike many places have curry made out of smooth blend of tomato/onion. Dal makhni good and Garlic Naan was excellent as it was soft, not too think or chewy.
Mango lassi was good.(Green-red jelly can be avoided rather almond flakes would be better choice for garnishing, jelly might be good idea for kids)
Loved the idea of serving curries in clay pots. Please keep doing it.
Restaurant is located upstairs so its not disable/wheelchair/old people friendly as u need to climb stairs. Also with prams you need to fold, carry lift to upstairs&open again. Unless i am not aware of any backdoor entry,it would be good if provision is made for this issue.
For a suggestion- Area around restaurant is too dark at night&so for ppl passing through south gippy hwy,its hard to notice its existence, specially when area is fenced and sign board doesnt have enough light around. Its rather domimated by big Grocery store sign. Its hard to notice from road. Puting LED sign on roadside for sometime would probably help creating more awareness of restaurant and foot traffic specially when its opened just...
Read moreWent to the restaurant to pick up my dinner (placed through Ubereats). I spoke to the receptionist and told her the name for my order, she said no problem and went to check in the kitchen. After waiting for 10 minutes, she returned and confirmed correctly if the order was for 'my name' - indicating that she knew of the order. Asked me to wait again as she went to recheck in the kitchen - and returns to say no such order was received on Ubereats. She asked me for the order items again and said she would have the chef start making the order - which I declined as i had already waited 20 minutes in addition to the time i waited at home post the order.
There was no apology or acknowledgement and the overall attitude was - if you still want food , I will make it.
While I was waiting I also saw other customers that were dining in, complaining about the long wait for the food.
The overall experience although not atrocious, left...
Read moreI recently dined at Butter Chicken Factory in Lynbrook, Victoria, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for a cozy dinner or a festive gathering. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Goat Curry. The meat was tender, and the curry was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to tantalize the taste buds. Each bite was a delightful blend of traditional Indian spices, cooked to perfection. We also tried the Handi Paneer, which was equally impressive. The paneer was soft and creamy, enveloped in a luscious, spiced gravy that was both aromatic and delicious. It paired wonderfully with the freshly baked naan and fluffy basmati rice. Butter Chicken Factory has truly mastered the art of Indian cuisine. Whether you're a fan of classic dishes or looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
