Pattysmiths Lynbrook — Restaurant in Melbourne

I had Pattysmiths with my brother recently as he had been here once before with his friends and had raved about how good the chicken tasted.

However, Pattysmiths definitely did not reach my expectations, especially given the price.

We had the 'Dante's Number 2'. It took just over 20 minutes for the meal to arrive and when it did, I could not believe I had paid almost $16 for 4 chicken pieces that were only a little bit bigger than chicken nuggets, and some fries. My brother said the chicken pieces were a lot bigger last time and was also surprised at how small they were. We had chosen the 3rd level of spice as my brother and his friends had said this was already quite spicy from last time (and we love spice), despite there being 2 more levels of spiciness left to choose from. However, we were incredibly disappointed as there was barely any seasoning on the chicken so it just tased like any basic chicken you could get. We then ordered 2 more single pieces of chicken for $2.95 each with the 4th and 5th level of spice, just see if there was a difference and to see if we had mistakenly chosen the wrong level of spice. We were disappointed again because there was barely any seasoning on it (again) and it was not spicy at all (again).

To make matters worse, the next day I had food poisoning! When I took my first bite, I realised the texture was off and turned on my phone flash. When I was looking at it, the piece of chicken didn't look like it had been fully cooked but I dismissed my feelings and kept eating. In comparison to this first piece of chicken, the other pieces I ate felt much better texture-wise and tasted a little better. The first piece of chicken I had was much thicker than the other pieces so I am thinking I was right about it not being fully cooked and thats why I got food poisoning.

I am in desperate need of a good spicy fried chicken place so I was hoping this was the one! Unfortunately, I will not be back and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Update: there are amazing food here still and amazing service but the price is really weird like for example I went and got a chicken burger with large fries and redbull this was all around 25 bucks but when i paid even using my discount i paid around 26.30. I love the food here but please fix ur technology as price seems to go up without customer knowledge and honestly it's kinda hurting my trust to come back here it's happend more than 3 times with me that's why I'm saying this review because of this i only eat here once a month it hurts to not eat ur favorite but it hurts when the prices always switch up at the counters .and please get more meal deals under 20 bucks cause honestly I save alot more money with a burger drink and fries at maccas I love this place I love supporting it but cmon man almost 30 bucks for a burger fries and drink and ontop I get charged for removing stuff out and adding sauce is kinda ridiculous 😅 I really do hope this place changes something so it's a bit more affordable 💯💎

Alright I have been going here for sometime the food is absolutely Amazing but I am relying the price is very expensive like I got 5 Dante hot thighs and a burger no lettuce only may and spicy sauce came out to almost 31 dollars a few months ago I didn't pay this and it feels everything I come here I'm always paying different price for the same food I get it is really good once again I just wish the prices were cheap and they didn't charge almost 2.50 for adding sauces to your burgers and many more wish there was more...

We're locals and we're back. After great burgers the first time, this time the patties were thin and dry. It seems it depends on which staff make your burger. An older asian lady last time made our burgers top knotch 👌 this time a young girl behind the cash register did and they weren't good. We suspect one of them was a pre-made burger that was sitting there because it wasn't warm like the others and the sauce had completely sogged the bun. I havent been feeling well after the burger to top it off. The staff are always friendly and we love that, but they need further training so you get consistency and know you are getting smashing burgers every time.

Otherwise customers can just go to macDonald's across the road for thin dry patties for half the price.
