I've dined here 5 times in the past 2 weeks so to say that this place is amazing is an understatement!
It's locally owned and the owners and employees all provide a very calm and cozy environment.
The fried chicken is amazingly crispy and not dry. The perfect balance for Korean Fried Chicken! The salad that comes with the chicken is a must have! I usually skip the salad however the unique and delicious dressing leaves me asking for extras!
The bibimbap is fantastic, long noodles, the right amount of vegetables and the perfect side dish with half a bonesless chicken.
Overall the absolute perfect dinner with excellent service, delicious food, a cozy environment and excellent pricing. I highly highly recommend Papa's Fried Chicken if you're in the area.
My only two gripes are the flashing LEDs that you can see when seated facing the main road and the lack of parking. Parking is a bit difficult but around 2 minutes of waiting and...
Read moreA little small korean fried chicken and korean food spot just off the busy clayton road.
Parking here is quite difficult borderline atrocious given the restaurant's proximity to the main road. Nonetheless, the food and drinks at Papas is good. The K-FC is good and crunchy, and a good portion size. However their stews are a little bit on the smaller side, not to mention not much substance in this giant pot, there was a lack of meat, noodles and vegetables in their army stew which is definitely a bit of a let down.
Additionally their communication can be poor at times, we've been meaning to try their whole fried chicken and was informed it would have to be ordered a day or two in advance, when we tried to do so again they said it wasn't even available in the first place which was quite frustrating. As a whole quite a decent place to satisfy your fried chicken cravings, however not the most budget friendly or ideal place for extra...
Read moreWe were craving Korean fried chicken for dinner, so I decided to choose this restaurant after reading a few reviews and seeing its 4.8-star rating on Google. We arrived at Papa's Korean chicken around 6 PM and were probably the first customers of the day( no one were here) . After looking through the menu, we ordered the half Korean soy garlic chicken, original chicken wings, corn cheese, and seaweed rolls.
The dish came out with only seven pieces of chicken for the half of chicken. The radish pickles were very sour and seemed like they used the old radish which making them difficult to chew. The flavor of the chicken was below average, and it felt expensive for what we received. My kids didn’t even touch the seaweed rolls; when I tried one, it was flavorless. The corn cheese looked terrible as well.
It was a very disappointing dinner. I’m not sure how they received a...
