The service was good but the food and prices were a let down generally.
We ordered a curry soup, satay stir fry and claypot salmon with rice to share. The curry soup felt a bit overpowering / unbalanced and was not made with fresh chicken pieces. The satay chicken was probably the highlight as it felt fresher and was a good portion. The « claypot » was however an absolute let down and I was tempted to call the kitchen on that… it was not a claypot dish. The salmon arrived already fully reheated from frozen (not fresh, which was a shame for the price!) in a dish that resembled a claypot dish but is not arriving sizzling at all and was essentially just a normal plate… It was accompanied by steamed vegetables which were not even put in the claypot. So overall an utter disappointment. We had some rice with it, we asked for a large one (as requested with the waitress) but they served us individual ones anyway…
Finally, we had banana fritters for dessert, which were nice. The ice cream however was one of those cheap ice creams, feeling more like ice than cream 😣
I still give 2 stars because the service was good and the satay dish and fritters were better than average. But otherwise, I am afraid I would not come back for the food and especially not...
Read moreWhen I ordered my meal I asked for it to be made vegan, specifically asked for no egg and also no onion.
Meal came out and had chicken, egg and onion.
Notified the waitress and told her not to bother making me another meal (told her this three times), as I was no longer wanting to eat there (I had already ordered an entree which was fine).
The waitress then came back with another meal and when I told her multiple times I didn’t want and wasn’t going to eat it she just shrugged her shoulders, put the plate in front of me and left.
I then went to the counter to pay for my entree, they tried to get me to pay for the meal I did not want and did not eat and then overcharged me for my entree. When I bought this up I was notified that the prices had increased but this had not been updated on the menu……..would you want...
Read moreMy wife and I were craving Vietnamese down the Peninsula so we searched for a Vietnamese restaurant. We came across Pho Thao Vietnamese restaurant.
We ordered the Vietnamese pancake (Banh xeo), Salt and Pepper chicken ribs with a side of rice and the Lemongrass Beef Vermecelli. Everything came out at a good pace and hot.
From a crispy pancake, to fresh, aromatic and flavourful lemongrass beef vermecelli to juicy salt and pepper chicken ribs.
Look, it's never like your mother's cooking but we walked out full and happy. You could definitely say we are satisfied customers.
Thank you to the brother working the front of the restaurant. Was a pleasant visit. Hope to see you guys around for...
