Pierross Italian Coffee, Cake & Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

First time last night, sat outside near the band which was very good, made a great atmosphere. If you don't eat pork products you are limited to the seafood or vegetarian pizzas or pasta's. We went for pizza as was told they are the best in Eltham, and the seafood pizza didn't disappoint, great flavours and cooked to perfection. The night was busy and by the looks lots of regulars. The bad: after 15 minutes had to go ask for bottle of water, waiter walked out with a bottle, then walked past us to the table behind us and gave it to them, they had just arrived... he then went back and we got ours.... Entree came out, very nice, then we waited for this to be cleared, after 20 minutes it was, then we waited for the pizza, more than 40 minutes later it came out, service was atrocious. Next time I'll just order takeaway. To add: yes been back for takeaway, had a large order for my work, everything this time was on point, on time, the usual friendly service, delicious pizza's everyone was very impressed with the freshness and quality...

Went here for brunch. Coffee was great, but unfortunately that was the only positive of our experience there. The staff were not very welcoming, helpful or friendly and quite honestly appeared quite rude, maybe even racist. We were trying to find out what was in the dessert cabinet without written descriptions so we looked at the menu, only to be told it was “the dinner menu”. We then approached the staff to find out what dessert is available and were told “ we have just have whatever is there” then when we asked what desserts they had in the cabinet we were then asked “ which one???! “ with alot of attitude and disrespect. Being in customer service myself I found it quite poor to have customer service like this. I would have taken the time to explain what each dessert was. By the time we received our almond croissant it was overdusted with icing sugar, and as the waitress brought it out to us she was smirking to herself at the overdusted icing sugar. Definitely would not come back...

Totally agree with the earlier review. Fantastic pizzas, and a good range of pastries too.

If you're after a cake for a special occasion, Pierross is also an excellent choice. They probably aren't the cheapest place for cakes, but you get what you pay for - the quality is exceptional.
