Potluck is wall named. Be prepared for pot luck when you visit this restaurant because of poor service and a long weight for your food to arrive from a very limited menu. In reply and to correct the owners comments. The evening started badly when the two elderly Jewish ladies upon receipt of their meal rquested that we would all like to eat together and requested their meal be returned and kept warm until the other meals ordered were ready to be served. The reply was rude and disrespectful questioning their knowledge of the hospitality industry and informing them it was not possible. They had finished their meal before the other two meals were served almost 1 hour later. The corkage issue arose when the bill arrived changing the two ladies for wine they did not have. The request to amend the bill accordingly disrupted into the owners justification for the charge. At no time was there any refusal to pay the corkage charge of $10 for two people not the $20...

Unfortunately this restaurant was a real letdown. While the food is nice, the wait times, service and pricing is really poor! Ordered a rice dish, noodle dish and mapo tofu … and it took an hour to arrive! No apologies, no acknowledging the lengthy wait … nothing. Funny thing is … table next to us that came in after us was also complaining about the wait times … and they got an apology (despite waiting less time than us)! Another 25 min wait for dessert (2 custard buns … at $8 each!!). On top of that, the waitress messed up our order and at no point acknowledged the significant wait time or apologized for the mistake with our order. Overall largely disappointing and...

We tried out Potluck on a cold Wednesday evening. Upon arrival, the cozy-warm decor and bumping low fi hip-hop made a great first impression. It's a perfect spot for BYO lovers, so I brought along a bottle of Chardonnay. To start, we ordered oysters, prawn toast, and wontons, all of which were delicious. Esther, the chef and owner, surprised us with a bowl of beef noodle soup, perfectly suited for the weather. We also enjoyed steamed barramundi, which brought back fond childhood memories of my grandmother's steamed fish dinners surrounded by family. I highly recommend this place and applaud the Potluck team. I'm already looking forward to...

Potluck truly lived up to the hype. This is not your run of the mill Chinese restaurant but rather more upscale Asian fusion. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The food was exceptional. You can truly tell it's prepared with care and skill with fresh ingredients. The chef puts so much hard work and creativity into every dish. it’s clear this isn’t just a job but a passion. We tried the Taiwanese Fried Chicken, Prawn Toast, Barramundi and Flat Beef Noodles. They were beautifully presented and full of flavor. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we look forward to coming back. Highly recommend Potluck to anyone looking for a nice meal in Caulfield!
