Princes Pool, Bar & Karaoke — Restaurant in Melbourne

Princes is one of those establishments that’s been around for as long as I can remember being in the area. It was without a doubt in need of a makeover; and what a great job Henry and his team have done to breathe new life into the place.

I recently got married and selected Princes as the venue to have my afterparty - our decision was based on suburban location as well as the late closing time of 5am.

Over 3 levels you have 2 fully stocked bars serving your classic spirits and beers to their delicious cocktail and bubble tea creations, English and American pool tables, lounge areas, balcony and a handful of electronic darts machines - adding a nice touch of variety into the mix of activities. However, the highlight is the dedicated floor of karaoke rooms with a massive library of english and asian songs and a state of the art system, taking the guess work out of how to operate the machines.

All my guests and myself/wifey had a blast. The team were professional, very accomodating and indulged in having some fun with our group while offering the best experience. The place is clean, has great ambience and the equipment is well maintained. It was also great to see accessibility options like ramps and elevators for patrons with mobility needs. I have no reservations recommending Princes for your next event or even for a place to hang out...

Overall a great experience and party venue. Visited to celebrate a 21st Birthday Party and I would recommend to friends and family too. The Karaoke room was large enough to fit about 20-25 people. The lighting and sound system added a little more edge to the experience. The top floor (Karaoke Floor/Rooms) has a smoking area, communal bathrooms and a bar. The bar staff were friendly and charismatic while working hard to keep up with demand. Our food order was delayed and one of the bartenders offered us a full refund as we had to leave before they were ready. We really appreciated this display of customer service. The security guards were cautious and ensured to check all floors throughout the night. Minor feedback : The bar staff were under the pump and I think that they need more support on a busy night. We recently had our wedding after party at Princes and I must say we had the most amazing experience!

Henry and the team were incredibly accommodating, attentive, high-spirited and exuded warmth to all guests. We can't thank-you enough, the memories made on that night will stay with us forever.

Call outs: The BEST team of employees. Recently refreshed venue with a contemporary feel and modern finishing's. Built with accessibility in mind e.g. elevator access to all 3 levels, ambulant toilets, enough space for a mobility device to rotate fully and access all offerings of the venue. Clean, neat and well maintained. State of the art user-friendly karaoke interface. Extensive library of songs - 99% of the songs we wanted to were available for selection (we dabbled in 90's hits, current top charters, K-pop and Chinese pop) Good room acoustics.
