Well I haven’t been to Red Rooster since the mid 90s when Tina’s Sweet Sorrento was gracing the living rooms everywhere mostly because it’s just chicken and sure it’s good chicken but it’s just chicken so when I rocked up at the drive thru speaker was I surprised to find the chicken is now fried as well and that is not just chicken anymore because at home I don’t house a deep fryer so fried chicken is somewhat of a treat. My best point of reference is the competitor fried chicken just up the road so when I pick up the fried chicken my first impression is boy this is crispy much more-so than competitor chicken so I go in for first bite and at first I’m concerned that it’s dry but on further investigation I realise that it’s just that’s it’s not dripping with oil all the way through like competitor chicken now don’t get me wrong I love competitor chicken for all its 11 degrees of deliciousness and this had a different flavour which was overall pleasant in its own right but definitely more crispy and also not dripping in grease but yes it was still moist, depending on the cut some pieces moister than others so yeah it was a home run.
Update 17/03/23 Downgraded to 3 stars for incompetence. Sign says add on honey chicken for $2.50. They said they don’t have honey sauce do I want red sauce. I said I’ll just have no sauce. Get to window and total price seems to High. Ask if the chicken was $2.50. They’re confused, I said I wanted the add on for $2.50. We don’t have honey sauce for that offer. Read moreNot sure if anyone else has encountered the same problem as I did tonight when ordering through the Red Rooster app. I was charged twice but didn’t receive any order confirmation or email. One payment was through PayPal, and the other by card. Since I’m pregnant and not feeling well, I just wanted a quick dinner, so this situation was really frustrating. I wasn't sure how to explain it to the staff. A big thanks to the young lady and her store manager, who were working the 7:44 tonight's shift. They patiently listened to my explanation and quickly provided a solution. They refunded one of the payments and prepared the meal I had ordered, which was the Big Feast. It’s really tough when you have two transactions but nothing to prove your situation. This was not my first time using the app, and I had never experienced an issue like this before. I’m very grateful to the young lady and her manager for helping me resolve the problem....

When you dine in, you are never greeted straight away. You are ignored.. The male staff members there on the 2 days I went were talking and laughing with each other , on one occasion cracking crude jokes and ignoring their customers.
Then the dining room was absolutely shocking. Benches were filthy and not wiped down... It was a hot day and the Air conditioner unit wasnt working or not on, making it totally unbearable.
Then the food was shocking. Chicken over cooked and stale and the burgers way too small for what you pay...
