Worst food from any fast food joint I've ever had. Seriously, so bad, and make sure you check the order because they get it wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I live nearby, so I've given them the benefit of the doubt at least 10 times, where the food is wrong 9/10 times. Once, I ordered a Rippa Roll and it was just the "lettuce" and the sauce... they FORGOT THE CHICKEN? I don't know how that is possible.
Anyway, I stopped going after that, but went back the other day out of convenience and thought there was no way they could always be that bad. Boy was I wrong, after waiting 15 minutes in the drive-thru, the burger was served with SO MUCH mayo that I COULDN'T EVEN SEE THE BUN, it wasn't even wrapped up properly. I went inside, and the guy made another one and gave me a fresh one and a voucher for small chips. Great right? Well, yes, until today, I thought the same thing and gave them another go, waited in the drive-thru for 20+ minutes (as usual) and got another burger so slathered in mayo that I couldn't see the bun under the sauce/mayo. It was disgusting, I nearly vomited just looking at it. On top of that, the fried chicken with the sauce coating was mostly crumbs and bones (I ordered boneless, and they gave me the regular coated fried chicken).
If you get any size of chips that isn't large, the box is almost empty. Even the family chips (nearly $10) are enough for one person.
Anyway, to get to the point, I've been going to this place on and off for 10 years now, and they are just getting worse and worse. Always gets the order wrong, literally every time, extremely long wait times at the drive-thru (even when empty or first in line). So much mayo you CANT EVEN SEE THE BURGERS. The buns are stale. EUGH, just thinking about it makes me feel sick. The chips are the only good thing, but even then, they are SUPER stingy with the servings.
Hopefully, they get replaced by literally any other restaurant soon. They've had their chance to redeem themselves like other Red Roosters have, but I would prefer ANYTHING over this disgusting...
Read moreI had an extremely poor experience recently and the response from the store manager Aidan was most disappointing and after a month, I'm yet to receive a refund. I ordered my meal through the app and when I reached Red Rooster Surrey Hills, there was one car in front of me. I waited 20 minutes for the customer in front of me, any other fast food restaurant uses common sense and if there is a delay, you're asked to move to the waiting area, to ensure other people aren't waiting for extended periods. After a 20 minute wait, it was my turn and I was told the chicken I'd pre-ordered and paid for had run out and there would be a 20 minute wait for a new batch to be cooked. They offered me chicken tenders as a replacement which I accepted. After a 10 minute wait, I received my chicken tenders and was told they'd run out of coleslaw which I'd also pre-paid. At this point, I was extremely hungry and had lost patience and left. The chicken tenders were terrible and undercooked. In the last month, I have emailed, called and submitted online feedback to Red Rooster Surrey Hills numerous times, specifically to the store manager Aidan and yet to be compensated. Any other restaurant would have resolved the issue by reimbursing me at the first contact made. Aidan has made contact twice, promising to get back to me but still has not and it's been over a month. Read moreOrdered the $10 Mega box today. The girl that served us was absolutely lovely so props to her. The chicken in the box however was nearly burnt and had no taste. There was probably 5 chips at best. The nuggets were ok but the chicken tenders tasted off. So essentially I ate nothing as everything was tasted and put back. Went back to make a ‘complaint’ and was offered initially a refund which I accepted. He then changed his mind and offered me chicken wings instead. i am not sure how chicken wings could compensate for the whole box but as I had customers behind me I didn’t want to make a fuss. He came to me with 4 wings which were not better and clearly did not compensate for the $10 that I paid for. The obvious correct thing he should have done was offered me a whole new box or a refund.
