We went to this restaurant on March 7,20 after having booked for 7.30 pm as a family with a small baby as this restaurant provided a wide variety of vegetarian and chicken dishes with a bit of spice. We placed the order for entree and mains. Having waited for half an hour and in spite of noticing that we had a small baby no entrée arrived. I thus asked my son and his family with the baby to leave after getting assurance from the staff that they will do the order in takeaway within 15 minutes. We waited and waited, also got the attention of the staff over and over again but the food in takeaway format was not served to us until the whole restaurant was served and got vacated. Is this service? When they finally got the food ready in probably 5 minutes it was watery with no flavour and it was pricey. My suggestion to people is to get a timeline with them at the time of booking and refuse to pay if the food is not right. There is Greek restaurant next door which one could go to if you have the option. We did not at 9.15 pm at...
Read moreAbsolutely loved Rosebud Thai - we enjoyed their authentic Thai dishes and are definitely going to try their green papaya salad next time.
On the eve of lockdown five, we decided to indulge our Thai cravings and enjoy eating in (who knows we will be able to eat out next).
We ordered:
Son in Law eggs Crispy fried eggy goodness with a well balanced tamarind sweet and sour sauce. Perfect winter comfort food.
Nuer Dad Deaw No spice was spared in the nam jin - this knocked our socks off but went well with the marinated beef
Yum Pla Muk Fresh, spicy calamari salad (loved the fresh herbs!). The calamari was perfectly cooked and the dressing was well balanced with a lot of chilli heat that slowly crept up on you.
Red Duck Curry This mild, well spiced curry had plenty of aromatics and the veges were still crunchy. A generous serving with plenty of duck - the perfect way to end the meal and calm my palate down.
Thanks for having us, we will...
Read moreTake away so couldn’t judge the ambience. When I ordered samosas for entree, the menu says 4 chicken or 4 vegetable. I asked if I could get 2 of each instead and was told no problem also ordered Red duck curry, coconut rice and two serves of roti. Got told 15 minutes. Arrived on the dot of 15 minutes to be greeted by an older lady pulling our order from a Cole’s foil shopping bag. When I got the bill it was about $40 more than I allowed. Checking it they had charged me for two chicken samosa packs and two veggie Sami packs. When I tried to explain that wasn’t what I ordered she said rudely, “We don’t do that!” Rather than create a scene I just paid it and left. Got home 3 minutes later and everything was just warm. The flavors were very average. The duck was half a breast at best and dry and over cooked. The rice was gluggy. Samosas were very oily. We haven’t been there for about 8 years because of a bad experience....
