The beef brisket pie at Ruby’s Café was nothing short of heavenly – melt-in-your-mouth, rich, and packed with flavour that lingers long after the last bite. The sausage roll was equally impressive, golden and flaky on the outside with a perfectly seasoned filling that left me wanting more.
What makes it even more special is that every bite is handmade by Ruby herself – you can truly taste the care and love that goes into the food.
On a quiet, rainy afternoon, the cosy café atmosphere was the perfect escape. Just a few locals were tucked away with their coffees, chatting warmly, and one even shared some unexpected lawn-care wisdom with me – a little slice of Yarraville charm you don’t find everywhere.
