Jenny,
Firstly, I was in no way rude to you or "your staff" as you were the only one I interacted with. After our nice transaction at the counter, the next one was me asking where my sandwich was.
Secondly, whatever order I pay for, I should get, whether you feel after ten years of your perfection that it is good or not.
Thirdly, your rebuttal is largely poppycock. I understand your defense for your food and service, however you are not actually listening to what I'm saying. No wonder you can't take criticism. Usually when people defend to the world in such odd and incorrect descriptions like you have they're trying to cover for something.
P.S. Nice that you went and clocked some made up time that you can't prove, that is not the only problem. You disappointed a customer, a new customer at that. You should instead be focused on correcting the problem and then I would have come back and you would have more repeat business and another happy face. Your fault, your loss. Not mine.
Enjoy your day and keep the positive vibes flowing.
Absolutely not.
I waited almost 30mins for a takeaway Bahn Mi, not busy.
The only reason I got my order is because I brought it up with them and it had been sitting on the counter.
Wrong order in the bag.
Stale/Old bread and the Bahn Mi itself did not taste good at all, the barely any ingredients in the bread that it.
Ended up in the bin.
The only reason I tried this place was because Mopho Canteen closed at the end of the street, not sure if the effort was there but the care...
Read moreWe eat at Saigon all the time and love it, whether its a quick chicken Bahn Mi takeaway for lunch or a noodle soup or spring roll salad for dinner. The food is always freshly cooked, and the optional condiments and herbs to add to the salads and soups add the extra zing that vietnamese food is famous for (we always bring our parents when they are staying with us as well - my Dad loves the extra chilli he can add to his food). Recently Saigon catered for our first ever charity event, providing platters of assorted rice paper rolls: beautifully presented poached chicken, salt and pepper tofu and beef rolls. With dipping sauce, fresh chilli and peanuts. Our guests loved them and I cannot more highly recommend the friendly helpful service we received from Kim who went out of her way to help us and her Dad (?) who dropped the...
Read moreI initially left a 2 star review, mainly due to the 'overall experience' disappointment, but have upgraded to 3 stars as I understand that restaurants need to cater to the 'masses'. who may find the food here awesome, so please understand that my review is more comparative to other VN eateries we frequent at similar prices. Pho meats selections was limited to what we're used to in other VN restaurants in other places like Richmond and Springvale. Pho soup was watery and dilluted comparatively but rice paper rolls and iced coffee were good. The counter person was a bit snippy and the service was slow. Parking (at that time, in the rain) was almost nonexistent but found a place about 0.5k away, to no fault of the restaurant. The food was still better than I'd experienced at Pho24 in...
