Sammy Boys Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Used to be good and ordered regularly from here but tonight we ordered a family size pizza, when opened it there was more cheese than anything else and very little ingredients. Rang the shop and they were good enough to send a replacement, but the replacement was inedible due to the oil dropping off the pizza from the excessive amount of cheese. Has become hit and miss depending on who makes the pizza, unfortunately two bad ones in the same night have put us off. Will be finding a new regular pizza shop elsewhere from now on.

In response to the owners comments. We had been getting the same pizza each week and never had a problem until now, there was too much cheese on the pizza which caused so much oil to drip off and not because of the Italian sausage and who has heard of garlic creating an oil slick?A clear indication that it was a different person making the pizza during the week than on a Friday. Like we said you have lost our business.

After a couple of months we notice that their are different staff in the shop so we give them another chance on June 12, I ring my order through and am told it will be ready to pick up in 20 minutes. I arrive after 20 minutes to be told my pizza hasn't even been started and it will be ready in 7 minutes. I am the only person in the shop and 2 pizzas are coming out of the oven, they claim they were really busy and that's why it wasn't ready. Seriously if having no customers in the shop is really busy for 3 staff you deserve to have an empty shop and to go out of business. Pathetic customer service again and if you are reading this and are considering Sammy Boys for your pizza, save yourself the heartache and stress and go...

I am a local to Sammy Boys and since it changed hands this is the bar none the worst pizza place IN THE WORLD, and I have traveled.

On 4 separate occasions I have simply ordered pizzas on a Friday night as I like to do. Chicken pizzas made when vegetarian was ordered. Forgotten orders, and simple changes like leaving anchovies left off can't be honored. Pretty simple stuff!

But today was the pinnacle of unprofessional behavior. I rang and ordered 2 pizzas to pick up and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove down after 25 minutes only to find that the pizza had not been made yet let alone cooked. As the guy behind the counter proceeded to confirm the pizzas were not ready, the pizza guy making the pizzas proceeded to insult me in front of 6 patrons as he had "150 pizzas to make". All I had done was ask for what I had ordered. I walked out.

These people are amateurs. They have no idea how to make a pizza or run a business. If I ran my business like them, I would be out of business.

Just call Dominos, they will give you what you asked for and will not abuse you for...

i was a massive fan of sammy boys pizza, i used to tell all my friends about it and brag to family about this awesome pizza. but now its just a waste of money. tasteless and gross

i was a regular customer for 6 years until it changed hands recently.

the new chef is very rude and not accommodating at all. the pizza is horrible compared to old sammy boys

the pizza is now expensive for delivery and no more 2 for $20 pizza, they also charge stupid amounts for certain half and half to make you buy 2 pizza instead. the new owners need to call the old owners and ask them how to run a business

the old place was friendly and always accommodating and friendly if they could not help.

the lot is what i always used to buy and its always soggy and wet now and disgusting

the only reason this gets a 1 star is the girl who works the phone is lovely and i think highly embarrassed by her boss and the pizza chef's attitude
