Aspendale Beach — Local services in Melbourne

This is one of my favourite beaches. I have come here for over 25 years but now the parking is so bad, you can't get out it's full. They need to fix this. They have disabled parking, but unfortunately, people who aren't disabled park in those spots just to use the beach. It's very frustrating. Apart from this, the sand is like salt. It's so smooth. Love this beach. Stunning sunsets, calm waters with clear water, soft sand and beautiful shallow sandbars at low tide for the young ones to play in. Even in the hottest day, this beach is not nearly as busy as some of its other more popular friends nearby. There are toilets nearby at the surf club, paid parking available but no food nearby. Be sure to pack all the drinks and snacks you need if you intend on coming down and enjoying the day. A wonderfully family...

Happy new year :) Very convenient to reach since Aspendale Beach is close to the Aspendale train station and the bus stop. The water is clean and icy, the winds are cold on January 1, summer.
