Stumbled upon this gorgeous, modern and funky cafe on my walk this morning.
Love the name of the business! I felt a sense of secrecy and curiosity so stepped right on in.
I originally wondered if it's location (end of Wellington Rd which is a 'No Through Road') would hinder the business. It is nestled amongst residential properties and a short distance from Box Hill Hospital however not a thoroughfare.
Up beat music, stylish decor and open plan had me feeling welcome and excited to try a new coffee blend.
I was greeted by friendly staff who were generous and happy. I'm going to draw an assumption that the cute Barista is investing more than his time in the business (It's Sunday AND he is smiling!)
All this would be wasted if the coffee disappointed right?
Ok.. You are reading the review to assess whether the coffee is drinkable so i'll get to the point.

From observation they were serving takeaway customers before customers dining in, 3 different sets of takeaway customers came in after we ordered our food and they all got their food way before we did. I ordered the Benedict waffle and my partner had the Mexican Bowl. Both meals were nicely presented, however, the waffle was cold and hard, tasted like overnight waffles which were not heated up properly. If I wasn’t starving by the time our food came, I would have definitely sent it back. Lastly, there was no mention of surcharges on the menu or at the door, but we were charged a weekend surcharge when we got our bill. We didn’t raise it with the owner, but I hope the owner recognise that it is a requirement by ACCC that any surcharges be displayed...
Read morehaving gone through over 300 good reviews on this little cafe, decided to try it out for brunch on a cold Sunday morning. It looks very nice little place with new interior design. However it was a really disappointing experience. I don't usually leave reviews but I feel like those reviews are rather misleading.
I had soy latte and Moroccan Shakshuka. A bit too milky for the coffee, but at least it is very hot (which is a plus). For Moroccan Shakshuka (basically Turkish baked egg), it arrived in a tomato soup (supposedly sticky, not soup), and poach eggs (two) are nearly hard boiled, feel like the eggs were cooked previously then blended in with the "tomato soup" on top. And there is no much taste in the "tomato soup" other than tomato.
I looked at other's experiences all seem very positive. But I personally will...
