Box Hill Gardens is a park to go to. It is located in the middle of Box Hill. The shopping centre is only minutes away and some of best cafes are near the corners.

I personally like the walking/running track which is easy to track how far you walk/run when you run or walk. But my kids’ favourite is the little pond with lots of ducks! Feeding is not allowed but there are nice benches around and it is just so peaceful to see some local animals.

Lots of local people visit Box Hill Gardens(BHG) for BBQ and for play in the playground. The beauty of BHG is the playground as there is a extra space for tennis practice, basketball, pingpong and scooters & bikes! Lots of fun!

Box Hill hospital and Epworth hospital are right next to it if that is convenient to anyone.

Love going...

It's a beautiful well kept park. It has a great walking track around the park so you can walk your dog on the path. I went there on a very hot, sunny day and I was worried that there wasn't going to be much shade but I wasn't disappointed. There were so many trees so you could find respite just about anywhere. I didn't explore the entire park unfortunately, as I only remained on Station St end. But I'd love to come back here and check out the beautiful lake that is situated in the middle of the park. There were facilities of all kind like a BBQ and public toilet. Be mindful of parking as most is parking is ticketed for 2 hours or 2 hour parking only. This is due to the fact it is situated right across from Box...

A park for all seasons and all types of social get-togethers. It is equipped with a duck pond, a racing track, a basketball court, bbq cooktops, 2 kids' play areas and toilets. One of the play areas is recently renovated by the Whitehorse council to great effect. They have added a trampoline, improved safety features and an Oakley swing. This in addition to the existing sea saw, slip, traditional swings and a flying fox makes the play area near the Station street entrance a great place to be for children of all ages.

I have organised a range of social events at Box Hill Gardens. Parking might be an issue, but, that doesn't tarnish the reputation of the park as a great outdoor meeting place for...

Plenty of groups meeting and mostly respecting others around them. Huge playground, a walking track, dogs on and off lead, pond with ducks, a wall for tennis, table tennis tables, basketball court and netball ring, undercover area and riding/skating area ....loads to do but plenty of open space. Just don't assume you can share the space the "dancing ladies" use each morning. The passive aggressive volume changes in their music will make it quite uncomfortable to be around. Otherwise, the best utilised park I've been to!

Box hill gardens used to be lovely, it has a park that suited everyone- a playground for families, a running track and a multipurpose space. Now that the Eastern Railway is getting constructed, there are a lot of the park that got blocked off. The running track got shorter and shorter! I am not sure whether the playground would still be there once they are done with it 😕 overall this park is beautiful and peaceful would recommend 10/10 also got to see some baby ducks 🦆
