Authentic Vietnamese restaurant!! Place: easy to reach, traffic can be busy during the weekend or after scholl hours. Parking: plenty, but expect to be busy during peak hours. Interior: clean but maybe need a bit of face lift. Waitress: attentive, and quick to serve. Can be sometime confusing, but that's an opportunity to learn some Vietnamese words. Food: We ordered large pho, and shrimp spring roll. For drink: Vietnamese coffee, sugarcane, durian, and avocado. The portion for large pho was enough for 2 adults 2 kids (us). They offered smaller bowls to share the food. Authentic taste on pho... should be the benchmark! Chicken meat was so tender, whilst the soup it self was so good with rich of different herbs' taste and fragrances. Spring roll came with more than enough vegetables. For the $$$ definitely worth the money. They put Note on the counter that they charge extra for payment made with card. But maybe it also depends on the counter lady or how much you purchase, as we didn't get the extra charge even when we paid with card. Will...

The food is delicious, but the lady owner at the counter should have better customer service. She has never smiled, never said 'Thank you' after customers make payments. Her face is as cold as nurses who work in mental health institutions or staff who work in prisons. I think she should be trained more about customer relations in the future. Her husband is very polite and friendly, nevertheless. For the food, I would grade 4 stars, but for her customer relations, I would grade only 1 star.

Also, one more important thing to mention: the junior staff did not wash their hands after touching chairs, broom sticks, and other stuff around the restaurant. On several occasions, I saw staff members were doing food handling such as peeling vegetables or detaching spring roll sheets. She then went to grab chairs and brooms. Then when she finished, she did not go and wash her hands. Instead, she went straight into her old place where she continued with her food handling business. That was very unhygienic. She should wash...

Used to be a big fan of this place, but seems their service getting worse since the lockdown eased We had the breakfast this morning aroudn 11am and the food was okay. But the worse thing is the manager lady(not the owner as she always stay at the counter and very nice). The lady just so rude to our baby as she asked us to get rid of the pram as she belive it blocks her movement. And the plave dont even have the high chair for baby (my boy is 11months). I have asked her why did she treat us like that but she just walk away Also the door always open and lot of smokes from the outside flow inside To be honest, as the Vietnamese I always support our community restaurant but this kind of service should be aware by people especially parents with kids. Somehow I saw the review from other people 2 months ago had the same issue happened to their kid as well. Please change your service and attitude or people will change their...

It was a mistake to bring my family here for dinner! And it's mainly to do with very rude staff, especially the manager who decided to take our order while keeping his eyes fixed on the TV. The food took its time to arrive and we had to follow up with a server on our order, who then went to the back corner of the room to fix some chairs before going back to the other side of the room to enter the kitchen. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't anything special and would consider it below average. While we were eating, another staff member decided it was OK to reach over our table (and food) to grab the tray so that she could refill the sauce bottles... and then reach over us again to put it back. When we paid, the cashier lady didn't even look up, or smile, or reply when I said "Thank you". Who would want to be treated this rudely when going out for dinner with your family! We're NEVER coming back to this place.

Came here with Mum on a hot, Sunday lunchtime in early March. What do you eat when it's the low 30 degrees? Bun Bo Hue of course! You're already sweating, might as well get it going. Song Huong is right next to St Albans Library. We were sat in the corner and Mum immediately ordered one small ($14) and one medium ($15) BBH. I don't have it all that often but I was hankering for that spicy broth. It didn't disappoint. Not only was the spice there, it was just hot enough to be drinkable, bordering on burning my mouth. Just how I like it. The combination of spring onion, brown onion slivers sliced so thinly they're transparent, as well as pork hock and cha lua it's a symphony of flavour that sets your furnace alight. Want authentic Bun Bo Hue? Come to Song Huong.
