Tldr: ALWAYS ASK FOR THE BILL BEFORE PAYING, DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER!!
If i could give this place a 0/5 i would.
Ive been here so many times and every single time im here i somehow get let down because of either the food, service or when its time to pay.
Food: ordered pork and prawn rice paper rolls, hot and sour soup, salt and pepper eggplant and broken rice with the lot.
Drinks: coke & sprite. (Sprite was flat)
The food came out pretty slow, almost took an hour for all of the food to come out from the first dish to the last dish. Hot and sour soup was a bit too sweet compared to normal. Broken rice was standard. The salt and pepper deep fried eggpplant came out so soggy and warm we had to send it back to the kitchen. The kitchen must have forgotten the rice paper rolls because after we received all of the food, we asked a staff member how long it would be and then waited a further 30 minutes for them to arrive at the table. The rice papar rolls were nice.
Service: given we were seated in the back room where hardly an staff members check on unless bringing food out, it was really hard to catch their attention since they just place the food on the table and leave. But in saying that, service is non existent regardless. There was a stage in the night where every table around us had piles of dirty plates and staff would still walk in give the food and walk out empty handed.
When paying the bill, the owner (old man with glasses that only stands at the register) will always calculate the bill in his head. The bill didnt sound right so i asked him to put it through the register that he has right infront of him. He replied it would take a while to do. I told him i was willing to wait. After waiting for another staff member to put the bill through the register, it came out cheaper (by $2). I could hear the staff member asking the owner why he charged us an extra $2 ( in Vietnamese) to where he replied he thought one of the dishes was more expensive. (Owner didnt apologise)
Cleanliness: avoid using the tea cups unless you want to get sick!! They are washed in a big red bucket behind the reception area under the sink. From what i have observed over multiple occasions, the tea cups go in, get swished around in the water and taken out and ready to be used again. If the staff arent using gloves when washing these and the water is clearly not hot, these cups are washed in a pool of germs.
Dont go here unless theres no...

Well, folks, I recently embarked on a culinary adventure at Quang Vinh, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. It wasn't the food that left a lasting impression, though; it was the behind-the-scenes performance art of their staff. Picture this: a worker sporting gloves, like a true superhero in the world of food safety. But here's the twist – they decided that their gloves deserved a little TLC too. So, they whipped out an earbud and gave those gloves a good old ear-cleaning session. Hey, even gloves need a spa day, right? But the real pièce de résistance was when this hygiene-conscious maestro waltzed into the kitchen, gloves of glory and all, and began their culinary masterpiece. I couldn't help but admire their dedication to multitasking – ear hygiene and food prep, all in one fell swoop! Now, I'm no health inspector, but I do have to commend Quang Vinh for pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible in the realm of restaurant entertainment. It's not every day you get to witness a glove-tastic performance like this.
So, if you're in the mood for a dining experience that keeps you on your toes (and wondering where those toes have been), head on over to Quang Vinh. Who knows, you might just witness the next great culinary innovation – or at the very least, a glove-tastic spectacle!
Bon appétit and...
Read moreI have been coming here frequently for years, but unfortunately today I decided it will be my last time dining here. Upon arriving for lunch, I stood at the door waiting to be given a table and after a few minutes I gave up and sat down at a table. A waitress dropped off 2 menus for me and when I asked "Can I order now?" she turned her back and went to help another table. A few minutes later she returned with some tea, again I ask "Can I order please?". She put a finger up at me, signalling me to wait and turned around to take the order off the table in front of me. When another waitress came around to take my order, I repeated my dish to her about 3 times to ensure she got it right. By the time it came out 20 minutes after, it wasn't even what I had ordered. Service has gone downhill and food comes out so slow compared to other times I have been. And I always go there during peak time lunch and dinner time so they have always been busy, and food used to come out in no time. I will be going a few doors...
