St. Gerry's — Restaurant in Melbourne

OMG - I can not say enough positive things about this place! Our family finished up at Lightscape at The Melbourne Botanic Gardens on the weekend and the children talked us into buying some donuts from the St. Gerry's van on our way past. I was not only absolutely blown away by the taste of these, but also the absolutely delightful gentleman who served us. I appreciate good customer service, but he was most definitely above the norm. He dealt with us like we were his first customers ever (even though it was 10:30pm!) and was incredibly considerate in explaining the products when the children asked him questions. I highly recommend these guys for both exemplary customer service as well as the mouthwatering treats that we were served on a cold and damp night. Horrible treatment of staff by who I can only assume is the boss, they referred to him as “Dean.” I was at the night market last week, and the poor girl who served us our donuts was clearly in a lot of pain in her wrists, when I asked her if she was okay she put on a brave face and smiled brightly saying she was fine, I asked if it was her hands and she nodded. A guy behind me then proceeded to ask “Dean” or the 2 other quite muscled men behind the counter to swap out with her and he really rudely told us she was fine, that “redbull gave her wings” despite no redbull being insight and she “didn’t have much time to go anyways”…it was around 8:30pm and I can only imagine she had to work for another 2 hours.

they make these greek donuts so its nice and fluffy in the inside and a lovely thin crisp on the outside!

these guys have a bunch of diff flavours as well as other greek sweets on offer, as well as greek coffee!

they have some outdoor seating and very minimal indoors but everything is ready packed for takeaway

its situated on Centre Rd and so there is some parking spots out front howevwr if its all taken you can take street parking just around the corner
