Our dining experience began with the tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared dishes. The barramundi was a true highlight, impeccably cooked to perfection and bursting with delicate flavors. Accompanied by a medley of vibrant vegetables, it was a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
Next, we indulged in the yellow chicken and potato curry, a symphony of aromatic spices and creamy coconut milk. Each bite was a culinary revelation, showcasing the chef's mastery in balancing flavors and textures.
The beef stir-fry was another culinary gem, featuring tender strips of beef tossed with crisp vegetables in a savory sauce. The harmony of ingredients danced on our taste buds, leaving us craving for more.
The attentive staff at River Kwai ensured that every aspect of our visit was nothing short of exceptional. Their passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, adding an extra layer of warmth to our dining experience

My girlfriend and I went to River Kwai for the first time and we loved it. The atmosphere was warm, staff were pleasant and the owners Pratana & Nathan were very friendly and welcoming. The food is the main reason why we enjoyed this place so much.
To kick things off, the owners were kind enough to send us complimentary prawn crackers accompanied with a peanut dipping sauce. I run a retail seafood store and supply the restaurant with blue swimmer crabs so they recognized a familiar face.
For appetizers we had the Gai Tod (fried chicken) which came with a sweet dipping sauce. Personally, I don't prefer adding sauce to accompany my food but the dip was quite good. The chicken was crispy while remaining juicy on the inside.
We also ordered the Kaeng Khiao Wan (green curry) with chicken and also the Tom Yum seafood soup. The curry was sweet and creamy and loaded with plenty of vege while having a good ratio with the chicken. The soup was spicy (just the way I like it!) and hot. Everything went well with rice.
Overall it was a great dining experience. The only problem was that we had already filled up on festival food before going to River Kwai earlier that night so we were too full to eat more food! Lol. Will definitely make an effort to eat...
Read moreI rarely give O stars to any restaurant despite good food. This review is just to open eyes of the owner. Today i dined along with family after reading many 5 star review's. I asked staff for seating for 3, staff assigned one table, My wife felt unwell due to direct AC, so we changed seat. Staff came rudely and changed some dishes, kept on behaving rudely. While giving order if i cancelled one food item, she raised eyebrows and behaved like we are from different planet. I asked her are you unhappy that we are dining here, she didnt say a word. Later she didnt come again, other staff was too no less in throwing tantrums. Food was good but staff was unwelcoming specially towards certain group of people. In hospitality business your staffs smile and humbleness matters most, rather they treated me they are offering food for free ( My bill was close to 100$ for 3 people), food entries were priced steep too. Loved pad thai but will think again while coming back. Beware if you wanna go there and expecting customer...
