Merqury Inn — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place really is a hidden gem. We have been here numerous times and their food never fails us! Mercury Inn's Indian menu is just as authentic as the srilankan menu which is why we like coming here.Their specials board always has something different that's made us want try. Venison dish is always made to perfection. We often go there just for their dry style venison. The owner (kevin) really has a passion for food. That definitely shows in their dishes. Also this place is prob the only place in Melb that has "Jaffna style" food that's so close to home cooked food! I can list my favourites but you are better off...

Owner has real bad attitude and is extremely rude. Ordered a take away well in advance. Went to pick up, shop was closed. Tried calling owner several times and no response. I had guests at home for a function and had to organise an alternative option on the spot. I was later told by the owner that it is my fault for not calling him which I did several times. Zero customer service and food is basic which is easily available in many other restaurants such as Kites which is next door and has better food and service. 2x40mm cutlets are $10???? Way too expensive . The shop next door "Cake point" is only $1.95. Wants to be rich over night. No wonder less customers..... Food is ok. Not fantastic. Something is missing or feels food is kept more than the stipulated time frame or added to keep long hours. Not worth even 1 star but cannot...
