I recently visited Subway located at 517 Bluff Rd, Hampton VIC 3187. Subway, known for its fresh and customizable sandwiches, has established a strong brand identity globally. Unfortunately, this particular franchise shop appears to fall short of the high standards that are synonymous with the Subway name.Upon entering, the initial impression was less than favorable. The overall cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. Tables were not promptly cleaned, and the floor appeared to be in need of a good sweep and mop. The disorganized presentation of ingredients behind the counter was another red flag, hinting at a lapse in maintaining the rigorous standards expected by Subway. The service experience was equally disappointing. The staff seemed untrained and inattentive, often deviating from the specific instructions provided during the order process. Furthermore, the freshness of the ingredients was questionable. The vegetables did not have the crisp, vibrant appearance that one expects from Subway. Instead, they appeared wilted and less appetizing. Bread, a staple of Subway's offering, was not as fresh as it should be, undermining the quality of the entire sandwich.Subway has built its reputation on offering fresh, healthy options with precise customization to meet individual preferences. Unfortunately, this particular location is not upholding these standards, which is disappointing for both loyal customers and the brand's reputation. In conclusion, the Subway at 517 Bluff Rd, Hampton VIC 3187 needs to make significant improvements to align with the brandâs specifications. Enhancing cleanliness, ensuring staff are properly trained to follow preparation instructions, and maintaining the freshness of ingredients are essential steps that need immediate attention. Until these improvements are made, I would recommend seeking other dining options for a truly satisfying...
Read moreGet ready for a cashier lacking training!
I had a situation where I presented a voucher for a small drink during my order, but the cashier refused to accept it, stating that it couldn't be processed in their system. After troubleshooting the issue myself, I explained to the cashier that she needed to add the drink to my order in order to apply the voucher. However, her response was dismissive and unhelpful, with statements like 'you didn't tell me' and 'I can't deal with it,' delivered with a negative attitude. I find it unbelieveable that in 2023, it falls upon the customer to train and educate a Subway employee on how to use their own system.
During this interaction, the cashier did not seek assistance from her coworkers to sort the problem out, nor did she acknowledge her own responsibility to understand and operate the system properly. Considering the combination of the cashier's poor attitude and lack of effort, I believe this shop has displayed inadequate customer service. I also question Subway's responsibility in properly training their employees before putting them on...
Read moreI am slightly concerned about how long the lettuce had been sitting there, though. It had started going brown, and there was no sign of it being replaced any time soon as the container was almost full.
While the food tasted fine, the sandwich itself was very messily put together basically falling apart when I went to open it up. I had to repeat myself multiple times in order for the staff to get my order right. The man next to me also had his own issue where the staff member wasn't actively listening and ended up with salt and pepper on his sandwich that he had said he did not want. It left a bit of an awkward air in the room đ
Subway has also gotten so expensive, for a foot long sub, 2 cookies and a 600ml drink it cost me $21.50 Comparing Cost V Quality, I'd happily pay 15 dollars for this kind of meal like subway used to offer. But nearly $22 for a pretty average sandwich is...
