Daniyeru's Detailed Review: Customer Service 5/5 *Greeted by the staff, looks like a family business. Good service, Really friendly and lovely staff here and always feel welcome thank you all 😊 Food 10/5 *Beef Pie was handmade, you can tell by the sheer unique size of the pie. It had the softest texture, yet flaky and not overpowering pastry. This was absolutely heaven! Probdbly the best pie so far in terms of quality, size and taste I've had in my life! *Sausage Roll was just as delicious! It was heaven in a roll! Soft, yet crispy flaky pastry wrapping around handmade sausage roll fillings. Generous portion, handmade and absolutely delicious! *Chicken Mushroom Lasagne is my new favourite! So creamy, you can taste the home made quality ingredients, the milk, mushroom, chicken and best of all it's a big generous serving!! *Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich - Friend always loved this place, I was recommended and he loves the sandwiches here. However this meal, he mentioned the bread was stale and dry. I cannot comment, but I can only comment on what I consumed and experienced. *Coffee was a latte. It was bitter, most likely due to over extraction of the coffee beans. Froth count and coffee ratio was spot on however. Configuration probably needed to optimise espresso flavour profile. Coffee if rated, probably 3/5. Value 5/5 *As explained above, for the amount they charge you to go to heaven and back, the value is obviously worth it! Cheap price to go heaven and back :) Atmosphere 4/5 *Old school Cafe with minimal decor, nothing amazing but nothing bad to mention. The focus here is the food! Overall *I would definitely come here for all their pies and pastry. This is honestly the best pies in Melbourne! If works can be focused on improving other areas like coffee, sandwich freshness, service this cafe could really go BIG! Best pies ever, great portion, keep it up!

Absolutely the best coffee (soy latte and flat white). Also nice salads, particularly the tabouleh. While husband LOVES the big breakfast which is so huge it could feed 2! 27.8 grabbed takeaway soy latte delicious and also lentils and rice. 23.6.25 under new management so popped in and came out with a lot - lentils and rice, vegetarian lasagne, spinach and ricotta roll, fruit salad, penne salad, Greek salad, carrot cake and soy latte. Delicious! 19.7 husband had big breakfast and I had falafel platter, delicious and great value!

The ladies at the counter are so lovely! Even when it’s rush hour period and they’re working hard, they are always friendly to their customers and work with a smile. Not only do their personalities stand out but the food here is delicious and very cheap. Their portions are very generous too! Although I’m not local, I always make sure to stop by when I’m in the area to order a sandwich and a coffee.

I didn't see any good choice of food. I think the shelves in the display counter were empty. There was a circular glass cabinet containing various types of cake slices, but oddly it was located behind me as I was facing the counter. The staff didn't ask if I would like something to eat with the coffee, and if so where I could view the selections available, so the round glass cabinet (which I'd only later noticed) remained a mystery. Very odd and unhelpful attitude. Not a place I...
