To begin with, the establishment is quite small, there isn't anything inherently wrong with that, except when you're seated on the central tables you're close to the kitchen, and you can smell unpleasant odors from dishwashing and old food wastage. It isn't exactly appetizing. Food wise there isn't exactly much variety. The dishes that are available on the conveyor leave much to be desired. Dishes tended to be dry or stale. The hot food which you order fresh was OK, but we're still not the quality one might expect. The service was average. Until it came time to pay. They didn't ask how old my daughter was. Cashed her through as an adult. When I saw this on the screen I corrected the waitress stating that my child is 11 and should be charged as such she looks at me, and asks "is she turning 11 this year?". My friend snorted at this as is does not matter in what year she is turning 11 she is simply, 11. I stated that she is, and the woman smugly asked if I was sure. My friend again snorted and my daughter made a shocked noise because, yes, even an 11 year old recognises when a person lacks customer service skills. I simply stated that yes I was sure. She pretended to correct this error however I saw it was still put through that she was an adult. So, I transfered just enough to my bank to cover if she had correctly put her through as a child. It declined twice before she actually changed it. I just played dumb at this point because frankly, I was sick of her attitude and behaviour.
We won't be back, and I recommend steering...
Read moreOverall it was a great experience as we had never been to a sushi train before and decided to go for my birthday. There hadn’t put any deserts out for a while and we asked an employee for some and she bought them out for us, so the customer service was amazing. They also asked us if we wanted some fried squid and spring rolls brought out to our table as we hadn’t seen them on the train.
The only thing that didn’t make it 5 stars, was the no labels on the food. I’m someone who wants to know what their eating exactly because I have a non life threatening allergy to prawns, so navigating what to eat was bit of an issue because there’s prawns in a lot of dishes. If I had a question about the food, the staff did inform me so I do appreciate that, would just love some labels or something to inform customers. I wanted to try the sliders but I chose not too, because I couldn’t tell which one was chicken, or prawns.
But besides that, it was a fun experience and the food...
Read moreGo to Moto Roto instead. Went in hearing good things and expecting a decent feed. Spent $40 and only had two small plates of sushi that had been sitting there for who knows how long, one plate of 4 spring rolls, one plate of salmon nigiri which was probably left out too long, and one plate of fried veggies. Anything on the train was cold and disappointing. It had all been left out for too long and didn't taste good. You also couldn't order anything fresh off of the QR code so you were stuck with what was on the train. Too bad if you don't eat much seafood. Also, the all you can eat is literally just all you can eat fried food, which is also mostly seafood. My fiancée and I ended up leaving, paying the bill, and going over to moto roto and paying the same for more and fresher sushi. Hopefully this...
