I was incredibly confused how my experience differed so so much from other reviews… Staff were not friendly or attentive at all for starters, I asked one if the cinnamon scroll we got could be heated up and the answer I got was ‘we don’t do that’ …. Am I mistaken for assuming you have a microwave and all you had to do was stick it in there for 30seconds, if you don’t have a microwave then that’s fair but I struggle to believe that…. Took a solid 10-15 minutes to get the attention of the servers to order food too, not sure if it’s because we sat up at the bar we just weren’t thought of as proper dining customers? Anyway, we ordered a broth w/ noodles, the ham and cheese toastie as well as the sweet potatoe hotcakes. As well as a cold brew and a coconut brew (which was surprisingly yummy) THE HAM AND CHEESE TOASTIE 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 best I’ve had, with the mustard and the pickles, yum! The beautifully melted Gruyère was so good! And then that’s about it, the sweet potatoe hotcakes or pancakes was okay, the balance wasn’t quite there unless you had the perfect bite, apple was quite sour and the spiced yoghurt did little to relieve that… the miso butterscotch was nice and the idea of everything sounds good, but it just didn’t go. Not my fav pancakes, but they weren’t horrible. And the noodle broth is a complete do not order, other than the broth being tasty, the noodles weren’t cooked well, the condiments were bland and washed down by the broth, it’s really just not how a noodle broth should be, unless they’re going for a VERY fusion vibe which is what I’m assuming but not something I would recommend or order again. However this place has popularity in the collingwood community, maybe we went on a bad Saturday morning…. Will see how we go next time anyway

My favourite Collingwood cafe - quite the claim, I'm aware, but this place is seriously the bomb. I've been to Terror Twilight multiple times and the food never disappoints. Today I went in craving a bowl and ended up with the Green Chilli eggs. I noticed the neighbouring table both order it, and it was then that I remembered a friend claiming it was the best eggs they'd ever eaten. That's right, the best eggs of their whole life. How was I to stray from that kind of praise?! Paired first with a coffee (which was so great I downed it in a few gulps), followed by a limoncello spritz, the whole visit was the perfect way to start a Spring day. The only teeny tiny negative is that staff can sometimes be hard to locate and flag down, especially during peak times, but they are always friendly and helpful when you do get their attention, and will always check in on you after receiving your meal. Seriously such a minor thing, totally understandable they are busy, but would maybe recommend be prepared when they come to take your order as if you ask them to come back it may be quite some time until they are able to return. Gets very busy on the weekend, so be prepared to wait for a table during peak brunch time, but it's worth the wait! During the week its more chill, with customers ranging from locals, tourists, solo dinners and people working on laptops. Has some outdoor roadside seating, as well as a cute courtyard out back. Great coffee, great food, great vibe. Definitely try it if you're in the hood, you won't regret it!

The service that we received was very bad. As a lot of coffee shops in Collingwood close at 3, Terror Twilight closing time is 4 PM, but seem like thay don’t wanna serve after 3 , so why don’t you close at 3 then. Me and my fam really don’t understand. We arrived at 3 and got the “you should go home by now” service. I looked the reviews all good reviews including the banana bread, other reviews said warm with honey, we got cold dry one (in this case may be we order the wrong one, but I would blame on the service cuz they seem very rush and not helpful at all not to mention this is our first time here and we literally order nicely with manner, only if they would have heated up the 14 dollars banana bread for us) the smoothies taste so so weird, the coffee was ok. But the price system is wild. Banana brand 13$in the display but 14.43 in the receipt then GST extra 10% (which lead me to expect it must be good and juicy like the reviews from food blogger said but no it wasn’t) it is not a problem for us to pay total 14.87 dollars for one slice on banana bread, but it was tooo bad for that price both the taste and service, don’t even mention we couldn’t finish the smoothies it was so weird. And we went there on Weekdays not weekends.

Myself and my friends arrived at this cafe at 12. It was a treat for my friends birthday and we had an activity planned at 2 that we could not be late for. We did try and book a table the day before but got told they don’t take bookings and that we should be fine. At 12 we got told it would be a 25 minute wait. We understood that it was busy. There were lots of free tables outside and in the court yard that they would not sit us down incase it rains. We ended up waiting 40 minutes again we understood it was busy we all knew what we wanted to order. We then sat down at are table and got told we could not order for another 20 minutes as the kitchen was overloaded . We did not have a problem with the fact it was busy, the problem was we were explaining to the waiters that we have an appointment at 2 so if it’s going to be a long wait we will find somewhere else. We never got told it would overall be an hour way before we get to order our food. The communication was very poor. We ordered our food and the food took 30-40 minutes to come out. We kept getting told it would only be 10-15 minutes. We were late for our appointment we couldn't enjoy the food as we had to eat and leave immediately. The communications about the wait times was the issue. The time was underestimated at each part of the service and we would not have eaten there if it was going to take 1.5 hrs to get food on the table. Overall very poor experience. We were a table of 7 which is a big table however you should be allowed book or communication of approx 1.5 hours of a wait for food should have been...
