Stumbled upon this place by mistake, honestly, one of the best korean places i have been to in the area, we opted out of the bbq but doubled down on the bulgogi, bibibap and KFC, Bulgogi very authentic and well presented, the flavours were on point, cooked well, and provided a few ways to consume... which not many other places think about. Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) - crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, we got soy garlic... it was great. Bibibap - also great, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Definitely will be coming here again to try out more food. Also, the service and the owners here are great, very lovely people. You can tell that this place really puts their customers first.. which is so rare these days. Also well priced too. Forgot to mention, they play korean idols on repeat, it's a nice touch ahhaha... for those that love that.

GOOD QUALITY KOREAN BBQ RESTAURANT IN COLLINGWOOD BellyQ is a small restaurant just over the Johston St intersection on Smith St - and yes - accordingly, parking is horrendous! But dont let that put you off - plenty of trams nearby and the Victoria Park train staion is a 15 minute walk down Johnston. The menu is heavily focussed on BBQ but there are also set menus that don't involve any BBQing at the table. Small selection of alcohol (plum wines, Asian beers etc). The vibe is relaxed and unassuming. There are indoor and outdoor tables. People with mobility issues will have to negotiate a small step to enter the restaurant and a more challenging trek to the toilets at the rear that are not handicapped acessible and invlolve negotiaiting several step changes on the path to the toilets. Quick and friendly service. Cash and cards accepted.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner tonight at BellyQ for my partner’s birthday. The staff were so lovely and the food was phenomenal. We got one of the KBBQ packages and it covered a bit of everything. Lots of different types of meat, fries chicken, pancake, stew, and normally corn cheese. My partner can’t have cheese so we asked them to leave out the corn cheese. We had no problems missing an item but they beautifully insisted on swapping it for clay pot steamed egg. I was really impressed and we will be back again soon!

Great place and great value for money! My boyfriend and I came here randomly and ordered way too much food (our fault) and it was all incredible, absolute 10/10. We got one of the BBQ sets for 2 people I believe and it was a perfect amount for two. Our mistake is we ordered Korean fried chicken on the side - which was phenomenal and made for a great lunch the next day since we couldn’t finish it all.

The young girl that works there is super friendly too, she was lovely to talk to throughout the night and very helpful in explaining the menu. P.S. she did let us know that we may have over ordered, but we thought we would be fine and still ordered the lot. It made for a good laugh when asking for takeaway...
