I do agree there is a large selection of hard to find beers here. My suggestion is to display prices because I had no idea I would be charged $30.50 for 2 cans of beer. I accept they could be rare beers but no prices displayed leaves us guessing how much we will be charged and I had no idea what can cost what. I also never received a receipt to know how much they were. I did also feel not welcomed. I felt I was disrupting the bar assistant conversation as he said a total of 4 words and the price. “Here or take away?” “$30.50”. Not very welcoming or interest in my beer selection or even if I had tried them before. Especially if these beers are so called rare or hard to find, wouldn’t you be interested to talk to your customers about their choices? I guess not. Thank you for letting me shop elsewhere. In response back to you, the bar was not busy at all. I purchased from the fridge where there were no prices displayed. I was never told the price as he was too busy talking to friends. It’s not the price that’s the problem and you don’t always have to try and make a point of someone wanting a beer that’s less expensive. We have money but want to be informed how much before so we have the choice of paying the high price or something more reasonable. I’m sure you wouldn’t order from a menu at a restaurant without knowing the prices? Sometimes you should accept the feedback and use it to improve. That’s...

Read moreHonestly, I was really looking forward to having a beer here after work — this is my go-to spot. But I left feeling a bit disappointed with the customer service today. I don’t drink much, so when I do, I like to take the time to find something I’ll really enjoy, and usually tasting a couple of options isn’t an issue. In fact, one of the reasons I love this place is because it’s known for helping customers find something that suits their palate.
Unfortunately, the staff member serving today responded to my request to taste a few beers with what felt like passive-aggressiveness and a lack of enthusiasm. It kind of killed the mood — I felt like a burden instead of a welcome guest.
This is just a gentle reminder that sometimes it helps to put yourself in the customer’s shoes. A bit of warmth and patience can go a long way, especially when someone’s genuinely excited to be there and wants to explore...
