One of the best Pla Chu Che that I've had. Unfortunately, I received a very small portion which was A fillet of barramundi not "a filleted barramundi" (according to the menu). I'm a big fan of Thai food and I have never received a fillet, it has always been the whole fish. Paying $37.5 for a small fillet is very disappointing. Otherwise I was very happy with the taste, I think it was one of the best I've had. A mention on the customer service, it was quite poor. The young gentlemen working at the front of house didn't come across very hospitable, nor to me nor to what I observed with his encounters with with other customers. Also, after voicing my disappointment with him regarding the portion and the discrepancy in the menu terminology, I was not offered any compensation but a mere "I'll pass it on". We went to Thai Makong as a group of 5 all ordering main meals however the whole experience made us feel as if we were not welcomed. Our waitress first telling one of the diners to move to the crowded end of the table where there was barely enough room. Was then not given a new plate set of cutlery or anything that he needed. The waitress stood behind us and took plates that still had food on them before offering to give a take away container. We had a full bowl of rice we had to stop her from taking to get a container for. Satay vegetables came out raw and inedible. Chef was lovely and offered half of the price of the meal back however due to the poor service we will not return. We ordered Take Away for the first time after reading previous positive reviews and I have to say they are all correct. This is the best Thai restaurant by far. The staff were friendly and helpful over the phone. They told us that it should be ready by 6.15pm and it arrived on time and the food was HOT. The food was sensational and we received an unexpected nice surprise of a complimentary bottle of wine with our delivery. I'm assuming it was because it was our first time ordering but not sure??? Something simple but such a lovely gesture that certainly put a smile on our face. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
