Biscottini Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Tried to dine 3 adults and were told kitchen was about to close. Hmmm so they said we could have take away. Ok we sat outside. Waited waited then someone said I could order inside. I asked for a menu to show my pregnant wife and my 97 year old mother. Well no menu. So I went inside to order. Then told there is now no food. Disorganised, arrogant, lazy people parading to be in a service based industry. Hospitality? Yeah right. Really pathetic experience. My 2nd time there, I gave them a second chance but never again. And it is expensive from my previous experience and not value for money.

Dear Mr owner. Firstly I believe you are assuming i am a tourist and that is why you say enjoy your holidays. That is plain arrogance again. I am neither on holidays or a tourist. Please do not assume Secondly may I politely suggest you read and understand the reviews so you can rectify the negatives that appear regularly said about you and your staff. In my case was told to order from inside your Cafe then only to be told by operator at the register there is no more food. Should I not be confused and upset? If you heard what I was saying, why did you simply hide and not come and talk with me? ? Then your issue with sitting outside. OMG. we were told these tables never get taken down so we are Free to sit there. Overall reviews a whopping 3.9. I guess you can also make excuses about that. Please understand consumers have choice with cafes. My choice is I will never visit your premises again. No need for me to do...

It must be a full moon today because it is having a negative impact on the staff at this coffee shop who don’t seem particularly happy. We received shocking treatment by the older woman and barista man who took our order. Despite being repeat customers and politely ordering two large flat whites and fruit toast whilst providing a table number, they served the coffee in take away cups. When we explained that we asked to have here at the table, the woman immediately dismissed us and walked away. We then went to the counter and politely asked if we could have the coffees remade and served to have there as ordered. They then proceeded to argue, with the woman making the obtuse comment that whenever a customer orders a large coffee, it is served in a take away cup. This is despite us providing a table number!! The barista man then tipped the coffee from the take away cups into their mugs and slammed them back at our table. What was most upsetting was the rude way they treated us despite our relatively simple order. It is also particularly strange and disappointing given that we were frequent customers who had no prior issues for ordering large flat whites. If you want to be lectured and argued with when ordering your large coffee, then this is the cafe for you. We also paid $20 and had to walk away not consuming anything due to the hostile service....

Nice place. Met our needs well. Food was good. Service was good. Pleasant spot to sit as well.

Good number of indoor and outdoor tables here. Love a booth with soft seats as well. We were served quickly and efficiently. Reasonable menu here. Good toastie options which piqued our interest.

My berry smoothie was ok. It needed a little sweetening but was otherwise good. I selected the chargrilled vegetable toastie. This included eggplant, zucchini, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, pesto and tasty cheese in a focaccia. Good toastie this one. Good veggies flavour and cooked well. Particularly the zucchini which had been marinated or pickled then shredded. A lovely combination all round. The Reuben was misspelt on the menu but there were no errors with the toastie itself. It was made very well. Plenty of meat with good flavour coming from the sauerkraut and pickle. Nice rye bread as well. There was a nice little salad on each plate which we thought was terrific. With a nice dressing as well. Good touch.

Service was absolutely fine here. None of the stuff I read in some of the earlier reviews was evident. Some of the earlier negative reviews looked a bit sus to me. Like, not reliable.
