I ordered a delivery for Father’s Day. On the day I called to ask if I could be advised of an ETA and was told they could not tell me what time delivery would be only that it could be anytime from morning up to 5pm. I therefore told the recipient to expect a delivery by 5pm as it was sunny outside and I had ordered custard donuts so I didn’t want them left out in the sun to go off. After 5pm passes I was told nothing had arrived. I called the shop to enquire and was then told they were extremely busy due to Father’s Day and had over 200 orders and only 4 delivery drivers so they were behind and it should be there by 6pm now. She told me to leave my number anyhow and she would enquire for me as to roughly how long and call me back. I never got a call back. 6pm passed and still no delivery. I called back but this time my calls rang out. I suspect I was not the only person calling to ask where my delivery was and that is why they ignored the phones ringing as I rang about 10 times. Just after 7pm I received a call from the driver who was trying to find the address. Really disappointing service. Perhaps they need to get their ordering system and delivery drivers and systems in place before offering delivery on such days. Have a limit you can fulfill- everyone knows Father’s Day is busy! I also happened to use Goldelucks Doughnuts for the first time this week also and their service was amazing - you receive a email advising of an estimated delivery time and you can then track it so you can see exactly how long until delivery / how many deliveries before you etc - much better service so I will be going back there in future until these guys can sort...
Read moreFriendly staff and service, however I've had donuts on 4 occasions, eaten within minutes of walking out of the store and they have been stale every time. Clearly sitting in the windows for quite a while, for a 24 hour donut shop they're either making way too many at one time or not throwing them out/reducing the price as no longer fresh (the donuts aren't too expensive but still reasonably priced). Definitely a luck of the draw if you happen to walk in after donuts have just been cooked. I posted a review on their Facebook page (which has now been deleted and a new page made, or my review has been deleted as it's no longer there), had a response to say "what kind" and then never got a secondary response. I've had friends go in the middle of the night and have fresh donuts that taste great. Disappointing that I can't have that experience during the day.
EDIT: Thank you for the response, however I will not return with stale donuts just to get more stale donuts, even for free. This still doesn't explain why you have stale donuts in the window available for purchase when they should be thrown out or heavily reduced. I will no longer be purchasing any donuts...
Read moreWell worth the drive up north!! The store is FUN is EXCITING- you are welcome with bright colours and cool artwork over the walls and floors, the staff are helpful and the donuts are all displayed neatly in the window. This makes the ordering process super simple, as you can see all your options.
Donuts are soft, made fresh and come in a wide variety of flavours. We tried: (Top left moving clockwise) Thats a Lotta tella (hazelnut custard) Lemon meringue Salted caramel crunch Blueberry Cheesecake Rocky Road Nutella Glaze
My faves were the 'thats a lotta tella', the rocky road and the nutella glaze, but as you can tell I am definitely bias towards anything nutella. I think the nutella glaze was the best nutella glaze ive EVER had- definitely recommend. The other flavours were also delicious- the salted caramel was super salty (another highlight)
I will definitely be back sooner rather than later to try more flavours!! For $15 per 6 pack- thats pretty much the cheapest you can get around Melbourne, so you really...
