Had very high expectations coming to here, considering this is 4.9 stars on GM and this place had received many praises on social media. Unfortunately it met short of my expectations, as the brisket and pulled pork were very inconsistently seasoned, with some parts being bland and other bits being intensely seasoned. The bread was cold and hard, and the lady who served it used her bare hands to give it to us, which was pretty unsanitary. I did find the Mac and Cheese, pickle and salad was pretty good though, but as for the premium price-tag, leads me a bit skeptical. Considering this was a 2 hour travel, I probably wouldn’t recommend going here if you live from afar. Maybe if you live close it may be worth visiting but not to a great extent. Very difficult getting a good seat too, as we were seated right in front of the bar, which had no lights at all. Eating in the dark felt very difficult, but this was redeemed by the overall vibe of the place. They also mucked up our order in terms of drinks, we ordered 2 root beers but were insisted on getting 1 instead.

Hands down the BEST bbq we’ve ever tried! You can tell that Matt has dedicated his time, love and effort into his bbq and his passion shines on through. We love when he experiments with different cuts and comes out with pork lollipops, snags and jars of house made tallow! YOU ARE A PITMASTER! Doesn’t stop there though.. THE BLOODY CORN BREAD!! Now I’ve tried corn bread.. from Q bbq to third wave, red gum and various other businesses and let me tell you about Hayley’s corn bread. It’s pillowy, tender, moist and has actual corn in it. I’m genuinely disappointed when they’ve sold out. The dine in experience is wonderful with a big long table to ensure you feel welcome, accepted and share a feed with likeminded bbq fanatics. The vibe is intimate and Hayley and Matt’s love for food and friends is obvious through what they’ve created. Pre order cos these guys are going viral and you won’t want to miss out! Thank you Hayley and Matt, you NEVER disappoint. Ps. Order the burnt ends and thank me later.

I came at 2.30PM and had the second last one so definitely come in early for the burnt ends. Mac and Cheese: THIS IS A MAC AND CHEESE THAT IS CREAMY AND ACTUALLY HAS FLAVOUR! So many places do Mac and Cheese that is bland. This place had a delicious blend of cheeses, Inloved it. Will be back for more, reasonably priced for the quality!

The food here is 5 star, we are new locals and where very excited to come with our family to try out the menu and it did not disappoint! The brisket burgers are incredible the rub is to die for. The burnt ends are sweet and a delicious. The couples pack was perfect for 2 people and I loved the green apple slaw which added a refreshing bite from the meat. The iced tea was not too sweet and was large!

This place is a food truck so treat it as such. Please be aware that it gets busy, we got there at 5pm and where already 30 people deep in the line with the main tables full. We had walked with a pram and 2 kids and wanted to eat in but in hindsight would have been more comfortable at the park down the road. Inside is stunning but not practical for anyone who can't fit on the main tables, their are couches but these are next to kitchen doors that are continuesly being used and the space is small for the amount of people being served. The kitchen staff are needing to access 3 doors surrounding the main sitting area and we felt very in the way (I came prepared with my own high chair/ wipes/ kids intertaonnent) and it didn't help that the owner made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I get it, your busy. This interaction ruined our experience which was a shame.

My advice to people, enjoy the food elsewhere if you have a party of more than 2 adults. It comes served in take away so your set! I wish...

We dined in on a chilly Saturday night. Service was friendly and fast. Somewhat difficult to find a seat to eat though, limited indoor seating is available to stay out of the fresh breeze.

The inside atmosphere was very rustic and warm/welcoming.

We ordered the; 🍔 brisket Sando $24 🐮 brisket burnt ends $19 🍏 apple slaw small $8 (pictured is a large as they just ran out of the small)

Total for 2 people $78

🍔 The brisket sando was okay, the brisket itself was quite dry and lacked that usual brisket flavour that you'd expect. I added the house bbq to the sando for flavour and moisture. You do get a very decent amount of brisket on the burger for the price. The meat paired with the cheese and bun are quite heavy and lacks the fresh, welcomed crunch of a slaw. If you're not a big eater, you could probably share a burger with someone.

🐮 the brisket burnt ends were the star of the show. Now this is what I expected from the burger. The flavour was rich, decadent and the meat just fell apart. The serving is quite small as pictured, however allowed x3 people to taste it.

🍏 the apple slaw was fresh and moreish. It was a perfect balance of sweet and tart with the mayo and lemon dressing. This side really balanced the density of the meal

@TheBeardedPigAu serves American BBQ meats out of the food truck with an inside area with a couple of communal tables, one very long. The BBQ Pack offers a lovely toasted and buttered Kaiser bun, coleslaw, mac & cheese, pickles, pulled pork and braised brisket.

I started with the mac and cheese which was tasty but the pasta needs a bit more cooking and far more sauce, it's kind of gluey. A few tweaks and this is a whole lot better. The braised brisket was that tender each time I stabbed with the fork it just fell off and kind of became annoying so just scoop it up with the fork! Lovely smoked flavour, tender, meaty. The BBQ sauce livens it up but it needs a lot of sauce and it needs to be less sweet to give the meat a lift and help it shine. The same can be said for the pulled pork, tender, pulling apart and tasty but kind of dry and lifeless without sauce. After all the love put in to the wonderfully cooked meat just need to add some of that braising juice to moisten and add flavour to the meat.with the delicious Kaiser buttered bun I made a mini burger with the delicious slaw and pork. Like the pickles for that acidity to combat the meatiness. The place has a nice vibe.
