Fine Food Depot — Local services in Melbourne

Fine food depot/ Congo foods is like a food factory clearance outlet, used to be located on Bell St, next to that United petrol station. In Mid September it moved to a new location in Heidelberg West and on 60 Dougharty Road renamed to Fine Food Depot. There is plenty of free street parking on this quiet street. They open during the week and on Saturday till 5pm.

The warehouse is moderate size, and neatly packed inside, and stocks a lot of wholesale ingredients and pantry staples like pasta, flour, all types of cheese, olive oil, milkshake flavoring, canned tomatoes, sauces, sole tuna, coffee makers, sparkling water, sweets...

I was so happy when this large deli opened in my street. But now I avoid it, they are hostile whenever I've been there.. Once I was scolded for walking in 20 minutes before closing time. I've tried smiling at a staff member but they turned away. The hours are fiction and indicative only, they close just after 4 if there are no nosey customers in the store.
