Excited to see Souvlaki GR open in HBW but the experience was okay. Beautifully lit with the blue and neon lights, plenty of street parking outside and friendly service. I ordered a mix souvlaki combo with chilli (appeared to be chilli flakes not sauce). The souv bread itself was fluffy. The chicken was moist but the lamb was a bit too dry for my liking. For those complaining about the price or size, it's pretty standard these days, even before inflation. Souvs are generally smaller than kebabs, so that's normal too. The chips were perfectly salted with herbs and spices but they way too soggy. The chips were also inconsistent, more small/broken ones compared to long, so they felt like "bottom of the bag" chips. As for sustainability, all dine in orders came in takeaway containers and no recycling bin for the glassware. Something to be conscious of. Sliding door faces directly onto the 10 seater dining area, so either wear a thick jacket or be prepared to stand up several times to close the door after people. All in all, I'd visit again but not in a hurry.

Ordered online- the options were so small I wouldn't have accepted the food in person. I ordered a souvlaki and it came on a mini pita wrap with next to no sauce, plus the meat was dry so it was just hard to eat. HSP had all the same problems: very small, very dry. Two stars instead of one because I think if they knuckle down on their wrap and get the proportions right, they really could make a good souvlaki. The flavours were all there, just not the proportions or execution. WAY more sauce, guys! I had about a half teaspoon in one end of the tzatziki! And go easy on cooking the meat. Grab a random meal during a high volume period and have it without a drink and you'll soon know what to improve. Add more sauce options as well like baba ghanoush, people are happy to pay for it. I cannot imagine paying $25 for the food pictured below. Outrageous. $15 on special is pushing it considering the quality and portion. Really frustrating experience.

paid $45 for 2 souvs and a large chips and waited over 40 minutes for the food to be prepared. extremely overpriced for a souvlaki considering the pita bread they used is small compared to what is normally expected and barely filled with any meat. to mark matters worse; i asked for lamb and extra meat which was non existent. much to my surprise when i got home it was chicken inside the souvlaki. the paper even had lamb ticked. how do you stuff up so badly ? souv was cold by the time i got home and i live 3 minutes away by car. only finished the meal because my mother told me it was a waste to throw out food. extremely disappointed and definitely won’t be back. only positive was the guy at the front who served me- at least he was nice.

I frequently bought take out from this place, it use to be run by a greek bloke. The food was incredible! Please note how i said "was". I received my large HSP but it was completely flavourless with hardly any lamb in my "Mixed Chicken and Lamb HSP, near no sauce was added (They no longer have the inhouse made bbq sriracha) and the chips had no seasoning what so ever and were oily and soggy I then thought to myself "Well atleast i can enjoy my honey and Cinnamon Loukoumades (Greek doughnuts" how could they mess them up? Well it was more like Cinnamon doughnuts with a tiny few dolops of honey. We aren't in a honey shortage so what's with the rationing? To top it all off i called to hand out some polite constructive criticism about the things mentioned in this scathing review but i got hit with "There is honey with the doughnuts" and "There was plenty of sauce for your hsp" instead of an apology and wanting to do better and improve. 1 star, go...
