The Coach family friendly atmosphere and spacious, great service and serving size of food is generous! Grabbed duck spring rolls for entree’s, suppose to have 4 spring rolls but I wasn’t quick enough with the camera! Mains ordered pasta pescatore, chicken schnitzel, rib eye and fish of the day Barramundi. Food came out quick, all our food were great just slightly missing seasoning. The fries were crispy and very tasty. Dessert raspberry heart - great to end on a high. Red wine - Penfold Koonunga The coach is kids friendly, as they’ve a play area. Overall great place, will definitely be back.

A good venue to pay the pokies and eat in the bistro. Counter meals are cheap. Staff is very friendly and there are a variety of free drinks, tea, coffee and some soft drinks etc. A large car park. A function centre for hire which can cater for almost 190 seated or 300 standing. Children's parties can be organised. A free club membership is available. There is a sports TV room with a bar and plenty of seating. The bistro is now open in its final location with a kid's playroom. Some kids eat free on selected days but conditions apply to this service.

The Coach is a great place to get a parma. They have so many flavour options but can't go past the classic. They are a bit pricier than other places but it's definitely worth the money. Parma are so jucy and sauce full of flavour. Chips are perfectly seasoned and crips, slaw had a bit too much mayo but otherwise was perfect. Definitely will continue to come back as the service and food here is always immaculate. (also bonus points for not putting the Parma on top of the chips) Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Location 5/10 Price 7/10

Attended here on Fathers Day 2018 One star only awarded as food was the only nice thing here

I’ve had plenty of meals here before the remodel. Never really had an issue or discrepancy warranting review but will certainly boycott this restaurant for the best part of the near future.

It is under repair/remodel - forgivable, despite the fact they really could’ve gotten away with closing doors for a month, got the ugly noisy stuff done and proceeded with out door and hidden areas later, they decided to stay open, creating not only a loud but somewhat unpleasant atmosphere ( no one likes hearing pokie machines chinging while eating just FYI) . It was also blatantly apparent this causes irritation to staff as greetings were far from chipper.

Playground relocation - One thing that used to go for CNH was the fact the playground was kept in an area separate so parties or child families could stay in one area and older citizens could enjoy a quieter atmosphere. This is now gone. I understand keeping children at bay is the parents responsibility but clearly some can’t control their offspring any better than a Labrador at a bbq. The close proximity to the bar meant I nearly was balled over carrying 7 drinks by two children playing tag in the main corridor as well as shrill screams and many arguments over our 70 minute stay.

Lack of communication - despite zero notification and no prior warning ( we booked Thursday arvo) we were first refused seniors meals for both of my grandparents, (one of which we removed from full time care as he is a severely affected stroke victim) which obviously created a drama and undue stress of on the spot thinking for someone with a severe incapacity for making quick decisions, because they “don’t do on weekends We then proceeded to order 7 meals 6 adult fare 1 child as we knew we had “Shop a dockets” “buy one get one free lunch” which we have used before and greatly dictates our attendance for events to save some money, only to yet again refused simply because “we are not accepting those today”

Now obviously holding up an ever mounting line for a single register, we are essentially given an ultimatum move out of the line to consider what to do or to hurriedly pay without any offer to resolve our issues, or even a suggestion of managerial support and were charged a whopping $160 odd dollars for food to accompany our $27 drinks bill (only soft drink!) No food altercations were adhered to and service was below par.

I’m a strong believer in the digital reviews and read them often to make my own decisions. I’m fair, but was ready to full slam this company for their blatant disrespect, disregard and overall lacklustre hospitality, however I took my parents advice to seek a manager and discuss, offer a right of reply.

No manager was offered - We spoke to the check in lady, the only person without a queue 8 mile long ( is there only 3 staff here) and she took our quarrels to the manager herself. Long story short, their resolution was to give us $22 and a single slither of pavlova (for one of the seniors, we had two??) as credit for the difference for full fare to seniors meal

I personally have worked retail and hospitality industry for a total spanning over 5 years, and know this was a dismal flaw in service in many avenues. I also know that saying “ I won’t return” means nothing to a large scale company. But just know, in an era made and broken by a few strokes of a keyboard, it doesn’t take long for a tarnished reputation to be built. And I have a feeling my voice will be one of many.

For those looking for far better service, prices and quality of range and amenities, the Croydon hotel is only 5 mins down the road. Far...

Disappointing experience due to staff not knowing what they're doing. When ordering at the bar the team member was lost and not sure who to serve. The team member who took the food order actually did a great job. The food itself was fair, steak was average, schnitzel/ parmigiana was good, side order of vegetables was plain awful, broccollini beans and almonds, something so simple yes no love no seasoning just awful. On another note our average experience was finished off with a miscommunication that resulted in our experience finishing in a poor way with a team member just not listening to our request to take away a meal that was less than half eaten. The server took the meal away and never mentioned that they have policy that no food can be removed and then threw the meal away. As any parent will understand, if you are dining with kids it is often hard for the adults to enjoy their meal, so allowing the kids to not eat their meal so they can enjoy the play area. Had we have been informed we would have made our child eat their meal but after we had all finished and the family were heading for the door I asked where is our takeaway to be informed by a different server about their policy. We where then offered a replacement meal which I wasn't prepared to ask our family to come back in to wait for but I was also Informed that we can cook it for you but I'm not allowing you to take it away.....we were offered a refund for the meal also but this is not the principal of what we wanted. Sorry to say that there has clearly been an effort to improve the pub but its still a while away from being a...

First time to this club. Lovely atmosphere when i walked in at 6 - was greeted by a guy at the entrance who courteously showed me where to go. Then, the place became very noisy after 7pm. I thought our table being away from the main tables would give us some respite but , no. I could barely hear my companion next to me let alone those who sat across from me.

Food was reasonably good. My salmon was yum with the pureed pumpkin. Parma was huge but my friend seemed to enjoy it. Nasi goreng was a little too salty (said my other friend). The last one ate just half her steak and could not go further because it was a very tendonous porterhouse.

I went to get my drink and waited quite a while, tho i was waiting at the counter. Maybe i was too short to be seen because the guy looked at and past me to people behind me before asking who was next. Hmmm … then i asked for the cocktail menu, which he pointed to and then he just walked off. Left me standing there. So i waited another 5-10 mins before 2 other guys and a lady who were serving 1 guy, finally took notice of me (is it because I am Asian looking?) and came to ask me what i wanted. After i asked for my Hawaiian kiss, 😘, he seemed flustered, asked the 1 lady server at the bar, and i thought ahh he’s about to disappear too. Did they not have competent people working the bar??

Anyway 20 minutes later i managed to return to my table with assurance my cocktail will be brought to me.

Definitely not going back there because no other club in Melb so far has made me feel like this. I pay my taxes too, dears. Just...
