The Banh Mi is as amazing as everyone says it is. Small but bright and welcoming café with highly efficient and professional staff. So let’s break it down:

Crispy Pork Banh Mi $10.59

Atmosphere: There are only a few tables inside and a few outside but they use the space well. The interior is bright, welcoming and looks very neat and clean. You can tell the owner(s) take great pride in the presentation of their store.

Customer Service: The welcome was a little flat, not much a personal touch (could have been an off day). Almost like efficiency takes priority in this store and from what I saw, these staff are quick and professional with all orders. The order was taken swiftly and the food prepared & served within 5-6 minutes at peak lunch time. That’s pretty amazing – I would only offer the suggestion to add a little warmth to your customer service, but I was not dissatisfied with the service.

Food (Why we are here): I was searching around for new place and saw everyone raving about the Banh Mi so I had to try it. Banh Mi with Crispy Pork – It doesn’t disappoint, this is an amazing mix of delicious flavours and all the ingredients taste very fresh and robust. The chilli added that little something extra to this roll, but I’m sure it would taste just a good without it. This dish is about a medium size, as in, it is not quite enough to fill you up, but is certainly larger than a snack. You may want to order 2 the next time around. 😊 Delicious!!!

Overall: It's only a small place but I can say that the recommendations of this place are extremely well deserved. Will absolutely be coming back here to try some other dishes....

Absolutely Blown Away, A Hidden Gem in Ringwood!

I wasn’t expecting much when I walked into Cheeky Challa (Unit 20, New Street, Ringwood VIC), but wow, this place seriously overdelivered!

I ordered the banh mi, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The pork crackling was generous and perfectly crisp, layered over beautifully roasted pork that was full of flavour. The sauce? Incredible, rich, balanced, and absolutely addictive. The bun itself was spot on, light and soft on the inside, with a golden crunchy crust. It was a masterclass in banh mi execution, perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and full of texture.

I also tried the Vietnamese latte, which was not only creative and fun in its presentation but also a genuinely well-made coffee. Often these novelty drinks lean on appearance over substance, but not here. It was smooth, rich, and expertly brewed, barista quality all the way.

Their winter special, the Bo Kho beef stew, was another standout. Hearty, loaded with tender beef and vegetables, and served with the same incredible crispy-soft bread. It was warm, comforting, and surprisingly filling, perfect for a chilly day.

The café itself is clean, quiet, and welcoming. A lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal, whether you’re dining in or grabbing something on the go.

Too cheeky? Can something be too cheeky? Is there a limit to this madness and to find the answer I did something. I quit my job to exp,ore the world for 7.5 years to find out if something is too cheeky? I left everyone and do you ever have the feeling of being alone having nothing like I keep messing up everything but I have no reason to complain, I keep doing these bad things and the problem is me like I try to surrond myself with people who are nice but I will just push them away so whats the point anymore. Why keep doing this and you know what I cant forgive is that I gave myself chance and didnt do everyone else a favour but this story dosent end like this. Cheeky Challa answer this questioned that I was enough that it dosent matter how different just have a coffee and relax and find inner peace. I made mistakes and I will finally own up to these mistakes and made changes. Time can be wasted but what can you do now you cant go back right? Everything changed I will find better use of my time and why go back when you can go foward and I mean foward foward.
