October 2023. This is a bloody good pub. The service is always friendly and welcoming.
They have a good range of tap beers and bottled beers.
Now the food is fantastic. I've eaten there a few times now, and I wish I lived closer, lol.
On my last visit in October 2023, I had a Sunday roast beef 2 course special. This was so good. Everything was cooked to perfection. It was like an English roast.
My partner had a vegetarian cottage pie w salad, n chips, and this was really good too, but I think my meal was a winner, haha.
I was so full, but we had a dessert to share. Ice cream and waffle. How retro.
This was absolutely delicious, a great homemade waffle, a not too sweet caramel sauce, and a creamy vanilla ice cream! A heavenly dessert. I eventually rolled out of there, so full, but for a $30 two course meal, this place is definitely worth travelling for!!
I'll be back 😊
This is a great pub. The food is excellent and the service is good. They sell over 100 beers, so if you like beer ... it amber heaven lol.
My hot doggie was delicious w a cransky. The hot chips were fresh and crunchy.
The Beef n Guiness pie was absolutely amazing!! Served w onion rings n mash n gravy. W chunky pieces of meat n a great flavour, this was a winner. It's definitelyy...

I thought maybe I was being paranoid so continued eating it, but I wasn't and ended up vomiting for around 3 hours with bad cramps and had to take half the day off work. She explained they do everyday checks of the sauce to make sure they are ok but this bottle was nearly completely empty and wasn't fine. She offered me a free drink when I next came, saying she would give me something when I came in. Considering the extent of how sick I was didn't really feel very fair at all. I explained I also live quite far away from the hotel, I would have thought the least they could do was offer to refund me but unfortunately not. I also was charged $29 total for the barramundi which is $22 and a soft drink (which shouldn't be $7 but I let it go at the time thinking it didn't sound right rather than going back over a few bucks) but the experience is disappointing. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and contact them firstly about the issue rather than posting negative feedback but this was a real let down. As a manager myself, if I encountered a situation like this I would definitely not be just offering the customer a drink, it was...
