Was here tonight to celebrate my partner’s Birthday and sadly disappointed; The Beef Cheek, which I have ordered before was approximately half the size as the last time I had it, yet I didn’t notice a reduction in price. After we finished our mains and our plates cleared, we didn’t see or hear from any staff again until we beckoned someone over to ask for a dessert menu. We were told by the waitress that she would get them for us. 10 minutes go by and still no sign of our menus or any staff to ask. We then had to phone the restaurant from inside the restaurant to get someone’s attention. It was then we were told that they don’t have dessert menus but do have cakes etc on display we can choose from. Slightly confused, we headed over to the cakes to choose our desserts; this is where the confusion turns into befuddlement and more disappointment. My father asked if there was sticky date pudding which he had seen on the menu (remember the non existent dessert menu) and was told “yes, that comes from the kitchen”, however minutes later back at the table, he is told they have run out. When he questioned this and if there was a ‘time limit’ to ordering dessert, he was slyly told ‘basically yes”. Our desserts were served and again we were left feeling disappointed not only with the Nutella tarts having no taste of Nutella in them, but the inconsistency and attitude of the wait staff. My friend who had asked for the menu originally received an apology from the waitress she had asked for it from because she had ‘forgotten’ to bring the menu…the dessert menu that apparently doesn’t exist. It was fairly obvious to us all that the staff just wanted us to leave so they could go home and this was solidified when a waitress came over to say ‘not to rush you, but we are closing in about 10 minutes’. This is at 8:41pm and according to Google, the restaurant closes at 10pm. You have made it very clear tonight that you do not want my business (happily took our money though) and so you will not...
Read moreGroove Train Chirnside Park is a mid sized restaurant located near Reading Cinemas. We visited for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant offers an enclosed outdoor dining area and tables or booths inside. Menu was a good size without being overwhelming and offered good selection of pizzas, pastas, steaks, salads, burgers, Asian food & more. We ordered the single beef & bacon burger & Nasi Goreng and the watermelon juice drink & a soft drink (served in glass bottle, not post mix). Despite being peak time, service was good and both meals & drinks were served quickly and were of a generous size. Both meals were really tasty. There were a few small areas for improvement; our table had hole in it which would be difficult to get properly cleaned. The burger was served on a wooden noard which was splitting down the seam in the middle. The washing area for the restrooms is a shared space with exposed plumbing which looks great, but taps are very difficult to operate. One sink I couldn't turn the taps at all and the 2nd one I could only turn the cold water tap but then struggled to turn off. Of all the tables in our area, only one had water so you need to request this rather than water being offered when you sit down. While not Groove Trains fault, be aware that there is no designated parking for the restaurant. All the shops, eateries & cinema share the car park space so in busy times you may need to park down near the Shopping Centre. However, all of these things were just minor and Groove Train Chirnside Park is definitely...
Read moreHad plan to see the movies after dinner at The Grove Train, I've checked their menu online before we go there, I thought they have a lot of vegan options, unfortunately they didn't have any vegan dishes on the dinner menu, so I had to order a vegetarian dish, I ended up ordered a Vegetarian Pumpkin Ravioli which was really delicious however it was so small like an entree size, it cost $32 for 8 pieces of Ravioli, it was very overpriced, I was still feeling hungry and bought 2 bags chips at the cinema to snack on. Poor service and the restaurant was extremely noisy.

I am 100% guaranteed that my review was not misdirected and is 100% legitimate! We went to The Groove Train in Chirnside Park, which is right next to the Reading Cinema in Chirnside Park.
I am documenting my food journey to keep track of where and what I eat, so I have a photo of the Ravioli dish from your venue, I also have screenshot a photo of your dinner menu from one of your reviews which I have added photos on my review for you to confirm.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Ravioli, it was absolutely delicious but the portion size was really small, $32 for 8 pieces, I thought it was rather overpriced, I have given 4 stars for the food, but I couldn't give you more stars for the service as we were being ignored by the wait staff, we were also sat right next to a big group of people with kids, they were very loud, we couldn't hear each others at the table, my review was honest and my rating was...
