My partner loves the food from here and was excitedly waiting for this particular store to open. She is a return customer and when she declared wanting Taco Bell on this particular occasion, I decided to give it a go. The store is only a few weeks old and, as such, looks fresh and clean. There is a small amiunt if seating inside, with further underciver seating outside (accessible via the store). We ordered takeaway. Ordering was simple and prices are ok. I ordered a boss burito - it was weighty. I had to hold it laid flat along my hand due to uneven weight distribution in the burito. There was a lot of weight at either end and the middle didn't have much to support it. The burito was ok. Nothing wrong with it. I didn't get much flavour from it and gad to add one of my own hot sauces to make it a bit more exciting. The contents were a little wet. Some of the rice did not taste cooked - there was some grittiness that I had to bught through. It was not every bight, just two or three bights. For the price, yes it was fine but I'm happy to pay a little more to get a better quality burito from the primary competitor. Fir myself, I probably won't going back for the buritos from Taco Bell. The quality was way better tgan expected, though. My first and only prior experience was in the USA many many many years ago - and the USA experience wasn't peasant. My partner will be returning to Taco Bell Chirnside Park and does...
Read moreI honestly cannot begin to describe how absolutely atrocious this place is. I have made so many orders from this store and every single time, the order is wrong in some ridiculous way. From putting rice in a cheesy swirl - an item that doesn’t come with rice at all, to having tacos the same texture of wet tissue paper because of how much juice has seeped through, this location will never cease to amaze me with just how badly they can mess up an order.
Even more concerning though? One specific staff member will ask me to come inside the store if I order online to pick up if I go through the drive through. She will do this every single time, and it’s well past the time listed for my order to be ready. I can barely walk due to a disability and struggle getting out of my car - why is a staff member demanding that I come into the store (when if I do I’m in extreme pain which is why I go through the drive through to begin with) to make her job easier when there has been no issues with any other staff member? To top this off - my food is stone cold every time. If my order isn’t ready when I come to pick it up, what possible justification can there be for every single item to be cold?
In summary, the food is awful and poorly made and you’ll get treated awfully. There are so many more instances I could list if this specific location messing with me but I settled on these. Go to GYG, I’ve never had an issue like...
Read moreAussies may certainly form their own opinions, but speaking as an American, it was quite different than the U.S. franchise. For one thing, I'm not used to rice in my burritos, nor chips (fries) served at Taco Bell. The ordering process takes a minute, because you specify what "protein" you want in almost every item - ground beef, steak chunks, pork, chicken, or beans. We got several items to try, The meat was bland with no detectable seasoning, the Crunch Wrap was more like chewy, soft bread, no sauce packets supplied (though perhaps I could have asked for them, IDK?), the hard shell taco I got had no corn flavor but instead more like hardened rice paper, and the beans protein I chose for my nachos (which I thought was gonna be refried beans or frijoles) was instead whole black beans which fell to the bottom of the box. The item I enjoyed most was the soft taco. Price was acceptable, as between us we got a crunch wrap, burrito, fries, "Stacked tortilla chips", 2 double taco supremes and 2 cokes for $48. On the upside, friendly staff, clean store, drive-thru available, indoor/outdoor seating, supply of pop-up unlimited napkins at each table, ample parking, and free drink refills. I'm glad we went, just to get an idea, but won't be back. Prefer Old el Paso at home if I...
