The staff have no clue what they are doing. 1st waitress came to our table with wrong order, 2nd cake was stale (first cake ordered was out of date). 3rd - no one in store knows how to scan the loyalty card. Then when a manager did scan it, she argued that we couldn't get our 10% off even though we dined on Wednesday and "her store doesn't do it". She also claimed the cakes were delivered today when I mentioned they were stale, she said "I can show you the paperwork", I said sure that would be great. Then it never appeared. Considering my friend ordered a cake and was told sorry its out of date, pick another cake.. that should have been a red flag.
I would never return to this store. Even after they were proved to be in the wrong, the manager or staff never even apologized for wasting our time and ruining our experience. My friend and I needed to explain to them, how their own loyalty program works. We decided to pay for the food after she refused to give us the discount because her store doesn't offer it and she "can't remove the 10% off or items off the bill" and turns out the store is included in the promotion as the receipt automatically took the 10% off, the manager would be looking at the computer with all the items and it written 10% off". Hopeless on all fronts. Go anywhere else. This place is horrible, no wonder its dead most the time. Even if the 10% off didn't automatically come off, she should have never argued with us, as the loyalty program includes the store, in fact when signing up to the program my friend selecting the Epping store and also there is no Asterix or disclaimer to say only participating stores and excluding the Epping store. Manger was not interested in being reasonable just asserting her "power" and saying "no we don't offer that". Besides the horrible customer service, I even felt sick all night so this place gave me food poisoning too. Will never...
Read moreHoly f, where do I even start? The service I received tonight was absolutely phenomenal. You could not ask for better staff in your business, from someone who has worked hospitality. Two standout waitstaff- shoutout to Angie and "Awesome Tattoos" (I'm so sorry I forgot to find out your name!!), and barstaff who are incredibly friendly and can make a balanced, bangin cocktail.
My partner and I ordered a few things to share tonight and spoiler, everything was mouthwateringly delicious.
The mixed grill: Juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken was notable. Perfectly cooked bacon. Crunchy, well seasoned chips. Definitely recommend the red wine jus for the meats and the mushroom sauce as additions! We were thankful we got them.
Loaded fries: Yuuuuuuum! The bacon on these bad boys is phenomenal; the perfect level of crispy without being burnt. Cheese melted and balanced, chips crunchy and seasoned, jalapeños and onion were the perfect little elevation for the dish. A solid loaded fries.
Tasting favourites: Yo, if you don't choose to give this a go you're legitimately missing out. The arancini was the best I've had in my life: perfect. Could not be faulted, absolutely perfect. Eggplant chips were crisp, seasoned, soft inside and easily enjoyed with or without aioli. Lordy, when I tell you these two things blew my tastebuds away I mean it! Perfectly cooked calamari which was crispy on the outside, no easy feat to achieve. Bruschetta had the perfect tomato to onion ratio, buttery, toasted bread and a tasty parmesan. I don't know where you get your olives from but they are FANTASTIC, and the chorizo is perfectly cooked to release the most spectacular flavours.
The portion sizes are generous for the prices and we could not be happier leaving tonight. Five stars in every...
Read moreUnfortunately a waste of money. Service was fine and food came out very quick! Although the food itself wasn't very nice at all and defiantly not a meal worth $100 for 2 adults. The Beef salad I ordered I did not eat, the beef itself seemed to be marinated in a sweet vinegar and had a very horrible after taste, possibly refrigerated to long, the salad itself was over dressed with a reduced vinegar that it was so soggy and I had 1 mouth full and left the rest, I did advise staff on floor, also whom seemed to be management a gentlemen behind the bar that it was way over dressed and super sweet to eat and the remark back to me was " well its our best sellerâ No care was provided that we had just order $100 dollars worth of food and we were very unhappy and that I personally left hungry and paid for food to be put in the rubbish, very frustrating. I have eaten at Groove train franchises before and never had such bad food experience so it was very surprising. My mums curry wasn't anything special at all and was very watered down, she only ate half due to that fact. 2 Bowls of chips we ordered for my kids were good although not worth $100! Really disappointing experience for a lunch with mum! Wouldnât...
